Around two and half years ago, inspired by the legendary OP/ED contests of the great c-square, I jumped on the contest bandwagon with the DC Movies contest. It was a simple idea- put all Detective Conan movies in a bracket and have a "tournament" play itself out. Given that there's been quite a bit of turnover in terms of members in the time that's passed since, I feel as though the time is right for another such contest and in that spirit I present a redux. The DC movies contest will have the same format, though I should note that it will have the advantage of having 16 movies, which works perfectly with a bracket, unlike the last time where three movies had byes because 13 does not work so nicely with brackets.
Basic rules: The movies are seeded according to their number+1. That sounds strange and pointless, but the idea is to avoid the same matchups the last contest had (4 vs. 13, 5 vs. 12, 6 vs. 11, etc;). There was nothing wrong with those matchups, but it's nice to mix things up (this time it'll be (movie 3
+1 vs. movie 12
+1, etc; Voting will be and open for three days in the first two rounds, four in the semifinals and five days in the finals. Do ask if you have questions or suggestions, I tend to be both opaque and flexible.

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
