The people using the cellphones might pass on information that would allow the cops to prematurely come in before the sender of the red shirts was revealed.

? The crime would probably have been conducted rather differently if the man had an accomplice. The only reason the criminal strapped bombs to himself was because he didn't have one and hence no other way to carry out the crime.

If Aoyama meant it to have been Vermouth why didn't he just show her whole face, instead of the coy partially obscured face he did show? He was showing Vermouth's true face to the readers from her introduction in Another Meeting.... Unless she looked like Sharon when she called Itakura, and Aoyama didn't want to show that card yet.

1) We never got a name for the baby-faced detective who tailed the giant in the billion yen robbery case whith Akemi Miyano. I find this unusual for the author as often name age and profession are given on the first meeting. He was introduced early in the story and we haven't seen him since, so he may be a discarded character.
You should add the conspicuously detailed unnamed character who was standing near Yukiko at Sharon's funeral.

Not that it matters, but was he in the anime episode as well?

Doesn't look like it. But, they missed the "Jodie's pictures of Cool Guy and Angel were pictures of pictures" clue, and moved two clues that Yukiko was right about Ran remaining suspicious to before Ran became suspicious again. Apparently Aoyama didn't/doesn't bother to tell the anime staff about all the subtle things might be important later.

makes sense though, because noting things' importance can spoil things for later on.

Yeah but if Gosho doesn't repeat them later, the anime can't show it again, just like the "how does Conan know Gin's and Vodka's names" and then it kinda ruins it.

I remember Ai Haibara saying her father's original goal was to raise the dead in Festival Dolls case when she and Conan got on the discussion about her background. Didn't she say her father's orignal project was to raise the dead?

Maybe that is the Organization's original project. Maybe that is their goal. And remember Ai's father in the Locked Bathroom Case said he got someone to sponsor his project which was way back when Akemi was three years old. Maybe that was his project. Maybe the BO is trying to raise the dead for some reason.

Chapters 2-4 / 384-386
Is that translation correct? I also saw it on the anime translations as well.

Which is in response to this

[quote]Black Org’s goal
I’m favoring the idea that immortality or anti-aging is one of the ultimate goals of the organization.
1) The anti-aging side-effects of APTX 4869 probably indicate main intent of the drug. It probably was just a useful side effect that it happened to leave no trace in the victim’s body, and was employed as a poison. Supporting this is Ai’s line, "Kudo-kun? You would probably never even dream that you are already part of a project the Black Organization has been working on already for half a century." (V19-9 or file 191/ep 130-131) APTX 4869 is the only known intersection between Shinichi and the B.O.
2) Shiho Miyano’s name was on the raffle list for the immortality arrows in the mermaid case in Fukui (279-283)
3) Failure of Vermouth/Chris Vinyard to age. (She hasn’t changed much since she murdered Jodie’s parents twenty years ago [433]) If this didn’t have some important plot related reason behind it, it would be quite out of place.
4) If the organization from Magic Kaito is the same Black Org, then the search for “Pandora’s boxâ€

How? Explain? In the process of them trying to raise the dead, it could've been killing people or shrinking them and de-aging them instead. They probably have to do more tests before it can reach that goal. I think it's still important to consider.

Explain please.

Haibara was only saying that to get a rise out of Conan.  It wasn't meant to be truth.

"Yeah, I was actually born a hermaphrodite."
"What!?  Then it's true..."
"I knew it!  You were looking into my birth records!"

Well, I've noticed that Haibara tries to get a rise out of Conan....but sometimes she does it in a "rising way" and then some of it ends up seeming true....

Like in one of the movies she says
"I would like us to stay this way forever" and though it was meant to be a "Just kidding" many people didn't take it that way. They felt she made it into a just kidding so Conan wouldn't feel awkward.

I have also noticed that she had the same demeanor as she did in the Locked Room Murder where she said they called her mother "Hell Angel" and her father "Mad Scientist". It may have been to get a rise out of Conan, but many people took it as truth.

After she said that about her father's drug, she only said she didn't have the same intentions. She didn't say "Just kidding" or anythng of that nature from what I recall.

No, that's what she said they were called. She had no reason to lie about it.

No, she took over the project that her parents were working on, so it would make sense to have the same goal. Pisco pointed out the parents would have been proud of her success when he talked to her after watching her revert to her child age.

Exactly, that's what I'm saying.

True. Now that I read it over and over, it seems it could have been her father's goal alone to "raise the dead" not the whole BO, and maybe not even her mother's. If there was such a project, it probably isn't the project Haibara and the BO are familiar with. They did say he had "crazy ideas on science" so raising the dead, or any other scientific ideas that seem far-fetched wouldn't be too off the mark. But probably not a goal of the whole BO itself.
I’m favoring the idea that immortality or anti-aging is one of the ultimate goals of the organization.
I really think you're right about this. the BO would want to make a deadly poison instead, or make a pill that can help them live for eternity (by growing younger and re-living again) rather than make a drug that raises the dead. ;D

But then again, I think the BO THINKS they know what the project was that Ai's father was trying to produce, but they don't really know. If some of the BO was using it to kill people, like Gin and vodka, they probably thought Ai's father was creating a weapon, and didn't recognize such affects as shrinking or de-aging, otherwise Gin and Vodka wouldn't have used it on Shinichi to kill him. Obviously Gin and Vodka didn't know about the project.

The only person who recognized that rare side effect was Pisco. And he was an old-time member. And possibly Vermouth, who could have used it, and found out about it, even before discovering Sherry shrunk through a listening device in the Locked Bathroom murder case....

So it doesn't seem somewhat (who knows just thinking) it's the BO's goal to bring an eternity of youth because that drug seems to mean two different things to many different BO members. To Pisco and Vermouth, they see it as a shrinking and age de-sizer, and to Gin and Vodka it looks like a weapon, even though he's an executive member and should know about the "goal".

So the question is...did they just forget to tell Gin and Vodka? ;D

So the entire 'Miyano' family was intruding upon the BO's funding?

What would have happened when the BO discover that they had used their facilities and resources for their own personal gain? Technically.
