Spoiler:
Hmmm DB are here...Abs was right after all...XDDD

Anyway the file looks interesting...Sera is interested on Haibara,so I guess the confrontation between them will happen in the next files...

I'm just waiting for the whole translation,I want to know why Haibara calls Okiya "Subaru kun" now  :|

I agree with the people above, the one thing that still just doesn't add up to me is when it comes to Sera's relation with Shinichi/Conan. It seems as though she's known him for quite a while, because of her attitude towards him and what she knows about him. But where could she have possibly had a connection with Shinichi at? Yeah his parents are in America, but as far as we know he doesn't visit there too often. She might have gotten info from Akai, however that still doesn't conclude to her freakishly caring attitude towards him. And then like said above there's the possibility of her being Shinichi's sister, but I agree it just doesn't look very likely. It seems I'm going to have to reread over the chapters to analyze a bit more.

Or, Sera is just simply obsessive/crazy.
Quoting from a post I made in DCW; a previous poster had suggested perhaps Sera knows Shin'ichi via the Golden Apple case.
Spoiler:
The stage case would've been credited to Yukiko or Radish Redwood. Shin'ichi wasn't given the credit for that. The only case related to America he could've gotten credit for was the one on the plane to New York. Akai while in New York chasing Vermouth/the serial killer doesn't know about Shin'ichi at all at this point (he only bumps into Ran), so I don't think it's possible for him to have mentioned Shin'ichi to Sera. It certainly doesn't seem like Shin'ichi and Sera bumped into each other at some point either.

Now it is possible that wanting to keep up to date on events in Japan that while in America Sera kept reading Japanese newspapers or such (maybe also in hopes of figuring out what her big brother was up to). So, technically she could have learned about Shin'ichi through news reports while she was located in America.

However that still leaves the fact that she's unusually attentive towards Conan/Shinichi (ie. the hug at the end of file 800, always wondering what he's up to and if he's okay, ect.).

Just seems kinda fishy to me. >>

No that Anyone would want my idea but here it is anyway
Spoiler:
As Famous he is in Japan, there are lots of possibilities. Some one might have mentioned reading a story in the media about Shinichi and they in turn, in other words the telephone game.

As she might have read about his cases.

Someone in New York might know the real story. and again the phone game. Some one Sera knows in Japan might have sent her an article about him.

There are more ways then direct person to person talking to learn about things

This.

I honestly can't think of any way that could connect her and Shinichi. At this point I'm hoping/wondering if the translation about her "knowing Shinichi/Conan was a Holmes fan for a long time" was somehow wrong/not complete. If it's not, that just doesn't seem to add up. In the conclusion of her entry case, she seemed surprised at the name Kudo Shinichi, like she didn't know who he was. Even in the file following that, the beginning of the bomber case, she says "Kudo?" when her classmates mention him.

I guess the only thing to do is wait until the new year and hope for some answers :V

In Sera's defense, Sera's personality is awfully friendly. It didn't take long after meeting Ran for her to apparently become best buds. She was literally hanging on Ran and Sonoko in her second appearance. (771) People commented about her general forwardness back then. I remember at least one person theorized she might be lesbian or something like that. Ask Abs. : P

I'm waiting for an official translation before I try to judge Sera's line fully, but it sure sounds like she has done the research and figured out Conan is Shinichi. Spending the time needed to figure that out might produce some feeling of attachment and concern for the person, especially if you are prone to it in the first place.
I just can't wait until she actually meets Akai. I don't know whether she's going to Jeet kun do him or give him a full body hug until he turns blue.

Re: how Sera knows Shinichi, remember Akai used to keep this picture in his truck? He should have taken it out before the meeting with Rena to avoid the police or Org finding it later. Where did he put it? Probably with his personal stuff, because that's faster and giving it to the FBI all of a sudden might make them ask why he has given it back. What happens to a dead guy's personal stuff (when they work for the US)? The stuff get sent back home to the fmily. If Sera found the picture, she would definitely try to figure out who all those people are. Kudo Yukiko will likely lead to Kudo Shinichi and Conan is famous for chasing Kid. (Haibara even conveniently mentioned that this arc in a Sera case) Haibara isn't famous for anything, but Haibara is the biggest in the picture so much of Sera's investigation will likely be focused on her, which explains Sera's interest in Agasa's glasses nicely.

A nicely reasoned argument. *tips hat*

True enough, she is really friendly (part of what I like about her. I think that's because I was sort of like that as a kid "LET'S BE FRIENDS")

Yeah, my real judgment will be after the official translation. As for research you're probably right...though I don't personally think she would've needed all that much after how he blew it in her debut case with the phone thing xD
She'll probably do both: Jeet Kun Do Hug him 'til he's blue
btw, still have to kominate Okiya...'cooking' with a gun

Oops :V As for the edit
Spoiler:
Definitely makes sense why she'd start investigating. Still wondering if it's just her personality that makes her so clingy xD Though I suppose she could be clingy to Conan/want him to be okay because he's basically her only link to finding her brother. And if she really cares for Akai and is worried for him...that would make sense.

So I guess Sera's attitude towards Conan is a sort of "Thank God, I'm not going to lose my only lead to find my brother!" type of caring :X
Of course \o/

LOL. I instinctively read it from right to the left so I always get confused at first xD.

Anyway:
Spoiler:
Exactly what I think, Sera's worries she might lose the only lead to her brother, so that could explain her clingyness.

possibly and only possibly sera might have hugged conan to bug him and listen what his conversations with prof agasa and others.

i am certain that DC is becoming Gundom
as sera seems to have a crush on amuro who is 12 years older than her in dc.
