Dunno. Imo travel should work.
Since you can have "Kleene travels to japan" or "Kleene travels out of Japan". There are 2 variations.
While betrayal doesn't have a concrete target. The town or the BO is a lot of people. And deduction is the same, since it has "the criminal", but you don't know who it is. It's one of all the players in the game.

Crazy idea: What if we don't make these two new roles but give their objective to a random role? Then we could have a Conan whose sole goal is to kill Ran.

I remember the criticism about the idea having a town traitor that works for the BO. This suggestion is similar...
And of course it could lead to unfortunate combinations. "Genta wants to kill Mitsuhiko" or "Nakamori wants to kill Jirokichi (or the other way around)" or other things that happen naturally...

Yes, that would be a problem. Even more so with the BO. But you cannot call them a traitor, since they're not working for the other side but have their own agenda.Schillok wrote:Uhh... Didn't think of the BO, but yes: Them as well. Vodka killing Anokata? Korn killing Chianti? No, I was not talking about calling them "traitor", it was about the criticism voiced at that point: There is no way to find it out. Town-BO lovers are bad enough. Having another role to worry about might be a bit overkill.
Though - overkill can be fun, sometimes. The idea itself is crazy and dangerous (and can lead to even worse combinations than lovers already do like "Kir killing Eisuke", "Kobayashi killing Haibara", "Kogoro killing Megure, etc.") - but maybe it would work?
Or maybe it makes the game miserable for a lot of players instead...

I think it would be fun to try it out for a round anyway. Doesn't have to be this round, obviously. But we gave the POs a shot, might as well give this a chance too.

I also thought you could make the bomber more "general". Since in the current version, he wants to kill all police officers.
He could also want to kill all detectives instead. Or all protectors/healers. Or all females or all children (tho the last one is a bit... :x)
Or all FBI. Or all civil ones etc.
This can be chosen then according to how many of these types are in the game. So if there are like 6 police officers in the game, but jut 4 detectives, he has to kill all detectives instead.
He could also want to kill all detectives instead. Or all protectors/healers. Or all females or all children (tho the last one is a bit... :x)
Or all FBI. Or all civil ones etc.
This can be chosen then according to how many of these types are in the game. So if there are like 6 police officers in the game, but jut 4 detectives, he has to kill all detectives instead.

Guess it will work for now, until someone finds something better.
"The Bomber" would be enough in my opinion. Though, we can leave that for the suggested change when he wants to kill another group beside police instead.
Otherwise, I would suggest against allowing them to kill during the day. The night is much better (and more in line with the BO killing). Beside: All the defensive roles (tricksters, healers, protectors) also act during the night and it would be fair to allow them to prevent killings from the BO and the killer. If the killing happened during the day they become even worse than they already are.
Additionally: I think they should not kill during night 1. Getting killed night 1 is horrible, trust me. Please give the other players a chance to do something during night 1 and day 1, a night 1 death means you didn't have any influence on the game at all. (Having the BO kill night 1 is okay... but having more than one player die night 1 doubles the number of unhappy townies already.)
Also, this leaves them night 1 to gather some information which they can use during night 2 when they finally get to kill for the first time.
Otherwise... yeah, I think it could work this way. I think we could try.

Tome should be given handcuffs imo, as he has the arrest ability anyway. Not like he's just overpowering the criminals and beating em to a pulp.

you know, I have no clue why but for some reason I was thinking that handcuffs were already in the game.
