We had vermouth blushing too while disguised as Azusa...it really depends as you said.
To me, the disguising stuff in DC isn't realistic and logical.

How about sweating... I don't think we had disguised people sweating before...

Wow this case started out amazing so far are you serious? The fate of the village's future is literally standing on Heiji's shoulders. I also find it funny that Conan wouldn't go there if Yamamura was there and the part that the village chief seems like he'd actually steal the gold since he made them buy their own train tickets and tries to save on hiring and all that was funny. The village chief stuff was unintentionally hilarious...
What the archaeologist mentioned about the soil suddenly becoming very loose after the landslide seems very interesting. Probably need to take a note of that.

Talking about stealing, wouldn't it be funny if this Lupin looking reporter guy was really a thief... I think the whole cast is rotten to the core right now, we'll see... I'm willing to bet he's the mysterious person who's been feeding the dog from that reaction the dog had. He may have lied about disliking dogs. Or maybe he resembles the landslide victim.

And lastly.. Heiji... I really want this to go somewhere but next year is more than likely going to be an importan year for Heiji so idk. I don't think I'm seeing the places that surpass the Big Ben in this chapter. All I'm seeing are ruins of a building lmao.. That chief is quite something.... And I've noticed that Ran has been getting alot of these important scenes right now. She's actually figuring out stuff herself, getting involved in them and it all not having to do with just Shinichi.

Anyway I'm really interested to see that excavation site for some reason. This is structually giving me that 20 year old murder intent vibe hot damn... Probably one of the best single chapters in a while. So many things going on.

I guess I didn't express it clearly in my last post, but I still see it possible that since the man is foreigner and didn't know much japanese, he might know the word "inu" but not knowing how to write japanese wrote it with english letters as an english-speaking person would pronounce it: "enu" maybe with his left hand since he was injured, which could be reas as nue, due to the letters u and n being almost a mirror image. To me it clearly looks english writing more than japanese.

The problem with that is that the " u " would have that little line that comes down
in the same way that the " n " has that little line that goes up
but the " u " on the page doesn't have that.

see the example below
n u<----
I hope that I can find someway to contribute to the community even if it's just random crack theories and looking things up for people who can't find the information they need.

Maybe Off-Topic
Spoiler:
赤井さんが34とかだったら萌えゲロ吐いてそのまま窒息死する戸思うんで早く前向きな死亡をさせてくれ

Can someone translate this ?
Does it say that Akai is 34 years old ?!

@iiRoYaL
Spoiler:
This was being discussed in the spoiler c-box: it's Japanese fan speculation based on Gundam. Akai and Amuro are based on Gundam characters and Akai's "inspiration" is apparently aged 34. But it's pure speculation. Akai was said to be 29 when he made his debut in the Bus Hijacking Case. Some speculate that that age is not his real age but there's no evidence regarding that.

Spoiler:
I've just taken a quick look over the chapter so I don't know much details but by looking at the "nue" note from the spoiler pictures the way it's written seems to be hiragana more than being english alphabets for me

Spoiler:
According to my memory, Akai's age wasn't stated in the bus hijacking case. It was one of those rare cases where none of the ages of the suspects were given.

That is correct.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

I'm more confident the n is actually a h, indicating that the slide wasn't an accident.
Then, the dog remembers the writer, so he's probably the son of the dead miner, looking for revenge. And the mayor or the archeologist are the more prospective victims, due to their ages.

Jesse Sravya wrote:My guess is that it's going to be heijiXkazuha confession, or something about police department . The latter seems interesting
Heiji wanted a scenery better than the Big Ben when he asked that man, so he might plan to confess to Kazuha. I just hope he doesn't pull another "trusted follower" pun or something like the other times :)

Also, reading the chapter again I find it funny that Conan first thinks about what police inspector will be there. Like you didn't even left home yet and you're counting on a murder case to happen?
Everyone seems connected or has something to hide, so it will happen. It all depends on who was the one that died in the past and how accidental was his death(which usually isn't accidental)

WARNING: BREAK NEXT WEEK
Translation of the text spoilers:
Spoiler:
File 959: The night in which the Nue screams

Nue. That's the legendary monster... No, it isn't. Turns out it's also another name for the Scaly Trush species of bird.
It obviously wasn't the cry of the monster yet there's a legend about it.
Yadori Village was previously known as Yachou (Night-bird) Village yet the word isn't pronounced "nue".
Heiji suggests that maybe the famed memo actually meant to signal a Scaly Trush so the Mayor brings the physical memo.

The memo was found next to the miner's corpse along with an old hairpin: the notebook from which the memo was torn off was found a few days ago and it was lacking a page which was the memo's page.
There are more than enough props to create the atmosphere of the buried treasure being around: if someone makes smart use of them and films a PV about it that would be benefitial for the village.

Once the dinner's over all guests go to their respective rooms: the Mayor readies the drinks they ask of him and says he'll come bring them later. The girls get afraid because they hear that mice can show up in the rooms: the reporter tries to flirt with them again only to be driven away by Heiji & Conan.

In the meanwhile, the historian mutters that he wants to go to sleep soon and when he places the key on his room's keyhole he finds what seems to be a letter at his feet...

Conan & co.'s room desk has a notebook on it: Conan opens it and finds 1 page almost wholly filled with the "あ" (a) hiragana. It'd seem this was a notebook in which the late miner was doing Japanese writing tests. Heiji spots some glow on the outside through the window: he opens it and finds a fire on the ground right below the window. Everyone comes out the hotel and looks beyond the flames: a big and hairy "monster" grabs the "danger: don't come in!" banner with the teeth and runs off.

Heiji, the Mayor and the others put off the fire: he and Conan go check the backside of the hotel: they find the banner there but no trace of the supposed "monster." When they wonder if it ran into the pond they find some bloodtraces on the ground. They follow the trail and find the historian, dead, with signs of something having slashed his back...

Side-note: has the "Nue" finally shown up!? To be continued in Issue #26. Break next week due to author gathering material.

Spoiler:
Yeah, the creature showing up reminds me of the Demon Dog case. Hope Gosho doesn't have Shinichi/Conan and co. see someone be attacked and live—when someone is attacked like that and lives, they're the culprit who set up a trick to give himself/herself an alibi... Gosho's been doing that one since the Hatamoto case (20-26/22-23), and he did it in Kamaitachi (909–912/808–809).

The note under a soon-to-be victim's door has been done before as well (225–230/174, which also had the culprit set up a trick to make it look like he'd been attacked)—my reaction to reading that part of the text spoilers was, "you are SO dead..." well, the historian's off the culprit list... :-X

This has got to be the first chapter since 946 (or 944, and the year 2015 if you want to go by cases, rather than the files) where the Koji Haneda/Asaka/Rum thing hasn't come up... that's a pretty good, 3-4 month, plot run for Gosho. I didn't really expect much to happen in this file, save for the first death in this case. This may be a 7 file case, as last time (Zombie case), someone was already dead by the first file, and, here, it took until File #2 for someone to end up dead.
