Welcome to the
asylum forum, Hano!
It says a lot about what I've been up to lately that when you said you were from Denmark, my first thought was this guy:
Ohh, that's guy is from SATW (Scandinavian And The World) They are funny, don't you think...
I just got addicted to that webcomic. The notes for each comic have taught me a lot of interesting things about the Scandinavian region... I'm a bit embarrassed about how little I knew before, since I'm Scottish and if Scotland goes independent, we'll be a Scandinavian nation too! ^_^;
Scandinavian FTW
Well right now we have about Great Britain (Hereunder Scotland), in school... Is there something special information about Scotland - apart from Scottish whiskey and the famous cloth and pibes????
Scotland and England were entirely separate kingdoms prior to our King James VI becoming King of England after Queen Elizabeth I dying with no other living relatives. The power base of the nation has since shifted to England, and, especially given what Margaret Thatcher did with that power in the Eighties, a lot of people want Scotland to be independent. Since Scotland shares a lot of mythology, culture and history with Scandinavia (Specifically, a shared history of pillaging, going to war with and generally killing the English

) It's widely suggested and accepted that if Scotland goes independent, it'll be a Scandinavian nation.
Aside from Whisky, Tartan and Bagpipes, Scotland is also big on tablet (kind of like fudge with extra sugar), Ceilidhs (communal dancing, lots of spinning until you build up escape velocity, great fun XD) and complaining about how cold and rainy it is and being supremely freaked out when it's not cold and rainy XDXD We're fun, really!
... but don't ever call us English. EVER.
