I'm going to see the movie in about an hour and a half.

Can't wait. xD I heard that it's J.K Rowling's favorite one too, which is very good. (And if it's true, then it'll make up for the disaster that is of movie 6. >.< )

I was talking to a guy at school this morning that told me that JKRowling fired the original director for the movie and directed it herself, which is why it was split up.

I'm going to see it in one week. ;D

I read an interview that said that she didn't fire the director, she just put her foot down on almost all of the cuts. At one point, they were actually making three movies, before they managed to get it down to two really long ones.

Thus getting read of the prolific use of the phrase "Scene that explains how all of that actually worked: Cut for time." In the Movies In Fifteen Minutes adaptations of Harry Potter. (Which are utter win, by the way.)

So...just got back from seeing the movie, it's amazingly epic, I won't spoil anything, but I would like to say a few things
Spoiler:
I get really annoyed when they change the story to fit a film, but I really liked what they did change for the most part. Hedwig for example

I thought they ended it really well! I did tear up a little at Dobby, who was amazing! :D But I won't say any more. Loved it.

There were some things that annoyed me. But that's because I'm picky I guess. The will reading, no argument? What?! Sorry, slight spoiler :P

Just saw it too, last night.
Spoiler:
I agree with you wholeheartedly on Dobby Parkur. I really liked the fact they expanded his role in the story. When Dobby gave that speech or said 'Dobby has no master.' Everyone in the theater was applauding. :D AND OH MY GOSH HOW I LOVED THE FACT THAT DANIEL RADCLIFFE WAS SHIRTLESS.
You know what my dad said about Emma Watson? He said that she's a good catch because she's smart(she's in Brown), pretty, and is worth 35 million.

Saw the movie and really loved it XD
Spoiler:
Random George is awesome. *giggles as he grins cheesily at snogging Harry and Ginny*

Hedwig got to be awesome before her death this time. I approve of this.

Random Lovegoods are awesome, at least until one of them betrays you to Death Eaters. Luna remained awesome, though.

I love Mad-Eye. "Yeah, he's gorgeous, now let's get inside before someone murders him!"

Dobby was made significantly more awesome. I heartily approve of this.
Bellatrix: "You could've killed me!"
Dobby: "Dobby never meant to kill! Dobby only wanted to maim, or seriously injure!"

Daniel Radcliffe shirtless. Awww, he's all grown up. And much hairier than I expected.

The epic animated sequence with the Tale of the Three Brothers. Did they get Tim Burton in for that? Anyway, it was awesome.

They even skipped over way less plot than usual, only skipping out subplots like RemusxTonks- which annoys me a bit, because I really like them, but hopefully they'll bring up Teddy since I think becoming his godfather was a fairly significant moment for Harry- and, for some reason, the entire existance of Harry's Invisibility Cloak. Seriously, watching this movie, you'd think he doesn't have one. WTF?

Gonna go cry more for Dobby now. I knew it was coming, but still... well, still got the final movie to look forward too. Breaking out of Gringotts on a dragon, Snape's memories, the Battle of Hogwarts, Neville attacking Voldemort with the Sword of Gryffindor while his head's on fire... gonna be epic :D

I saw the movie today. Yay. I'd give it a good grade, would see again lol. I'm very satisfied with the movie and am already excited to see the last movie (and a little sad because that means it ends!). Some of the nuance of the books was lost in the movie of course, but I guess that's just the nature of translating it from one medium to a decidedly shorter one. They changed a couple of things but at least they're things I can live with...unlike in the sixth movie >_> *mutters about the Hogwarts Battle*
Spoiler:
Was it just me, or did anyone else feel that the movie was so much more poignant than the book in some parts? I guess it was just the music and seeing the sorrowful expressions and just everything that made me want to cry in a few places. Especially in the beginning of the movie when Hermione used obliviate on her parents and when Hedwig nobly sacrificed herself.

I also thought the kissing scene between faux Harry and Hermione during the destruction of the locket horcrux was a bit over the top. But meh, I can't find much to complain about in this movie. It was awesome.

David Yates certainly did a great job on letting the audience feel the emotions. I was a little sad though, that they left out the scene with Dudley and Harry finally- um... what's the word? Finally becoming the cousins who accept one another.

I was also kinda disappointed to lose that scene, but if it was in exchange for that scene about Hermione wiping her parents' memories... worth it. I started crying at that point, and that was like five minutes into the movie XD I agree with Rubberstamp, the addition of music and the visual aspect does make many scenes more poignant, especially, I think, Dobby's death. *Goes to cry again for a bit*. I actually really liked the random new bit with Harry and Hermione dancing. It had me crying (AGAIN), for different reasons. The faux Harmione kiss was a bit OTT, but I think that was meant to be the point.
Did anyone else catch "Harry Potter: Behind the Magic"? And if you did, how jealous were you of the guy when he got to ride a broomstick? XDXD The interviews with Daniel Radcliffe were really funny, especially when he was talking about how good he looked in Fleur's outfit XDXDXD

Yeah, I'm waiting to watch it with my high school friend who's as big a HP fan as I am. ;D

I'm glad there's so many positive reviews, I was worried with the way the plot was in the 6th movie that they wouldn't be able to do the 7th properly.
Spoiler:
Like with the horcruxes. Some of them weren't really mentioned!
I just hope they don't change the ending like they did with My Sister's Keeper. Though, the epilogue they can leave out.

Also, I think these recent movies have made it really confusing for people who haven't read the books. Maybe it was just the people who I was watching it with that don't pick up on plots as fast but I had to explain a lot at the end of the movie.
