Re: The Harry Potter topic.
I'm going to see the movie in about an hour and a half.
Can't wait. xD I heard that it's J.K Rowling's favorite one too, which is very good. (And if it's true, then it'll make up for the disaster that is of movie 6. >.< )

I was talking to a guy at school this morning that told me that JKRowling fired the original director for the movie and directed it herself, which is why it was split up.
I'm going to see it in one week.

Re: The Harry Potter topic.
I read an interview that said that she didn't fire the director, she just put her foot down on almost all of the cuts. At one point, they were actually making three movies, before they managed to get it down to two really long ones.
Thus getting read of the prolific use of the phrase "Scene that explains how all of that actually worked: Cut for time." In the Movies In Fifteen Minutes adaptations of Harry Potter. (Which are utter win, by the way.)

Re: The Harry Potter topic.
I saw the movie today. Yay. I'd give it a good grade, would see again lol. I'm very satisfied with the movie and am already excited to see the last movie (and a little sad because that means it ends!). Some of the nuance of the books was lost in the movie of course, but I guess that's just the nature of translating it from one medium to a decidedly shorter one. They changed a couple of things but at least they're things I can live with...unlike in the sixth movie >_> *mutters about the Hogwarts Battle*

Re: The Harry Potter topic.
Yeah, I'm waiting to watch it with my high school friend who's as big a HP fan as I am.
I'm glad there's so many positive reviews, I was worried with the way the plot was in the 6th movie that they wouldn't be able to do the 7th properly.
I just hope they don't change the ending like they did with My Sister's Keeper. Though, the epilogue they can leave out.
Also, I think these recent movies have made it really confusing for people who haven't read the books. Maybe it was just the people who I was watching it with that don't pick up on plots as fast but I had to explain a lot at the end of the movie.
