I was so so but so excited when Amuro appeared in the series... I was wondering all the time if he was really a bad guy.
Since the "Zero" situation appeared (Lol zero situation, sorry y'all). I kept thinking about 007, but then I was like: Nah, he ain't no secret agent. Bleh, I was wrong.
Also, I think that Shinichi got more arrogant when he knew that "Zero" was Amuro's nickname. He kept calling him that, as if he was trying to get something from him, he literally was provoking Amuro. (look at his face in ch. 890, page 6)
And am I the only one that thinks that he felt kind of disappointed when Conan/Shinichi told him "you're an enemy right?" (ch. 892, page 15-16). But then he just went with Conan's "flow" and decided to kind of scare him, by saying that Conan misunderstood him. He knows that Conan isn't dumb so he expected more from him (we can totally see that in ch. 898 (page 12-13).
BUT what bothers me the most now, is: why would he hate Shuu so much? (I thought that Akemi was the reason, but oops lol). Plus, he totally knows that Shinichi's on the FBI's side (kind of) will he try to do something to him? :/

I'm not sure where you get the "disappointed" and "expected more from him" part from. Amuro didn't decide to go with Conan's flow or to scare him because he expected better, he was wiretapped and couldn't give Conan a straight answer with Vermouth listening in on their talk.Vinnie wrote:And am I the only one that thinks that he felt kind of disappointed when Conan/Shinichi told him "you're an enemy right?" And to me in Chapter 898 it seems more like Amuro is actually giving Conan big credit for being able to figure out his true colors rather quickly.

@unclesporkums
@Serinox, even though he was wiretapped I do believe that he somehow expected more from Shinichi. From what I interpreted, Shinichi totally thinks that Amuro belongs to the B.O. But we never know what Conan's thinking, maybe he totally found out that he's a secret agent lol. But that's how I really intrepreted the situation

Huh, interesting. Well, I think this is the first time I've read such an interpretation of that scene. He totally found out that he's a secret agent though. I mean, he asks him "You're an enemy, right? Of the bad guys...". From Conan's POV that can only mean one thing. And think the other way around: Conan knows that Amuro is a BO agent and if he still thinks that he is totally a BO agent, why would he ask him that kind of question?Vinnie wrote:@Serinox, even though he was wiretapped I do believe that he somehow expected more from Shinichi. Usually I totally get Conan's ideas, but this situation was so weird (to me) like, I totally get your point, but what confuses me the most is Conan's reaction (ch. 892, page 16)
Why would Conan react like this? Does this means that Conan finally understood that Amuro isn't with the BO or this means that he thinks that he's in danger?
His reaction tells me that he thinks he's in danger, but this:
"What on earth did he misunderstood?! Next issue, Conan's deduction about Bourbon?! And an even more earth-shattering development!!"
Tells me that he finally knows that Amuro isn't a BO agent lol
But now I understand what you're trying to say, so yeah it seems that he knows that Amuro is a secret agent. But why would he react like that though, it's so rare to see that kind of face that's why I kept thinking and thinking.

Conan even says in Chapter 893 that he thought that Amuro was a secret agent when he asked, but Amuro denied it. He reacts like that, because if Amuro isn't, then the whole Akai plan is in danger, which wouldn't be very good for either Akai or Conan.Vinnie wrote:Usually I totally get Conan's ideas, but this situation was so weird (to me) like, I totally get your point, but what confuses me the most is Conan's reaction (ch. 892, page 16)

@Serinox
Yes, in page 5 he indeed said "secret police" but my first thought was that he was thinking in a possibility of Amuro being with the secret police, now that I payed more attention it really gives us the feeling that Conan was actually stating that he was a secret agent
Thanks for enlightening me.
