Episode 4 had alot ot cool parts in my opinion but the magician vs hustler just felt better and felt like it lasted longer.

If this series goes full robot Kaito levels of ridiculous, it might lead to some fun stuff but right now, yeah it's kinda unnecessary.

Is it just me or these episodes went by really quickly? I was watching and poof, there was the end! It was okay I guess, and that should be taken as a compliment as I am not exactly the biggest fan of Kid's.

I liked the snowball fight in the end that interrupted Akako's monologue. It showcased her also being slightly cartoonish. Hakuba and Jii additions to the episode were also nice.

The episode took some artistic license in regards to the sequence with Akako's magic. Also, iirc there is no "magic system" in the manga, so I wonder if the anime plans on expending this element later on.

This episode was good, I kinda liked it. Only Akako looked a bit older than she really is, and in the first scenes before the opening she looked like a 30yo woman. But I don't have anything bad to say about her new incarnation.

Best rating yet. It beat One Piece. It's also doing wonders for Conan : ever since MK started airing, Conan has not fallen below 10%, that's 5 consecutive weeks above the threshold which is the first time since episodes 436-440. If it pulls a sixth consecutive week above 10% it will be the first time since episodes 413-420 (8 consecutive weeks).

I'm not sure, I think 8-8.5% is going to be the ceiling for MK. But I'd love for it to happen since it also improves Conan's ratings. It has to stay below Conan though.

I dunno, I got used to them after the first episode, and it was mostly the profile shots that made them look so awkward to begin with. So while distracting at times, it's far from ruining it.

Ok so I watched today's episode since it was a remake of DC 219 and I was curious. No surprise : I prefer the old version, but not by as much as I expected. The art is quite weak at times in this one and the music while decent isn't on part with old DC music, especially that cheesy track with 'Kid Kid' as lyrics in the vocals. However, it has its strongs points : the mood feels darker than the old adaptation and the colours reflect that which is something I enjoyed and some of the key scenes really benefited from that. I also liked the little technological updates they did, and overall the pacing was quite good as well although a tad too quick at times. Also, they were apparently more faithful to the original manga in terms of how the heist takes place.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea. It's like if we had a 'Conan Conan Conan' track in DC...
