Ouch... that is a brutally slow emulator

It wasn't just the emulator, my computer was not in the best shape for a while. It's just that I had finally got to the point where it was always running well enough that these issues immediately ruined everything. To the point that I had to set Fraps to automatically create a new video every time a file got to 4 gb, so this one video was divided into 3 parts and I had to bring them back together despite recording the commentary for all 3 separately. Which is admittedly not a huge problem, but is still awful that I needed to do something that ridiculous.

I actually tried to record outside of full screen mode, which actually didn't cause slowdown issues but had the WORST quality when uploaded, so I didn't bother. But once these problems were fixed, it's worked well again, I have the next 4 videos of gameplay recorded.

Question: What is your favorite desert in fiction? Or at least gaming?

Gaming-wise I'd go with Gobi's Valley because Banjo Kazooie is brilliant but in general, I love Alabasta. Even compared to a lot of One Piece arcs, they went all out with that desert country to make it feel like an alive setting and the anime only added to that. Fantastic stuff.

I've rarely ever gotten Merlee's powerups. I prefer to spend my money on items myself.

Also, I'm hard-pressed to think of a desert that I like in any game, or even in broader fiction. I guess I'd go with the deserts of Klatch, because a) Discworld and b) the D'regs live there.

I think I do it just because it's there, and this has been true for basically every time I've played the game. Get the mid-level spell once and then basically never see her again. :p

I do like the randomness of it all though and this time in particular was great.

Also, seriously, your voice acting isn't a problem... y'know, compared to how hugely appropriative the whole concept of videogame Egyptian Tomb levels in general probably is. (To be fair, I don't think it's encroaching on a religion that's actually practiced by anyone alive today anymore, but still.)

I think it's just the tagline to the average Nintendo game. ESPECIALLY Kirby.

The voice acting is less beating up myself over it and more that I don't like when LPers read text outloud more often than not so I'm hesitant to do that outside of certain circumstances.
