A new video?! (Slider Plays Video Games For Your Amusement)

As far as favorite Mario games go, mine is either this or Thousand Year Door. Both have heavy nostalgia value for me, like renting them from my town's movie theatre for $4.25 for a night, or playing them when I was sick. I know them in and out, and I could beat Paper Mario from start to finish in that one $4.25 night, and TTYD in around 12 hours if my playthrough with my friend was anything to go by.

In terms of music, it would be PM, in terms of gameplay mechanics, TTYD. Script, TTYD, areas, PM (I would love to see a remake of PM with current gen locations). Basically they match each other quite equally with me.

Shooting Star Summit is so *_* I love how it's low graphical power and a simple aesthetic, but they're doing such beautiful things with it. SHOOTERS WHOSE ENTIRE PLATFORM IS THEIR HQ GRAPHICS CAN SUCK IT. IF I WANTED REALITY, I WOULDN'T BE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.

Also TWINK IS SO CUTE. I don't care if their name is derogatory slang for a gay dude. THEY'RE A CUTE LIL GAY STAR AND I LOVE THEM

Also, I really love Peach in the Paper Mario games. She never just sits and waits for Mario to rescue her. She has faith that he's coming, but she doesn't take that as a reason to just lounge around and do nothing. She gets up and does what she can to rescue herself and her people. Her becoming a party member as a result in Super Paper Mario was awesome, especially her growing rage at finding herself genre-shifted to a dating sim XD

Agreed. The soundtrack is like the go-to post-SNES midi music. It and Zelda.

I make a brief reference to this in 2 videos, but if I do have an issue, it's that the real standout stuff (for my tastes at least) doesn't begin until the end of this chapter. So it's like "this is quite good but can I get to the OMGAMAZING stuff yet?"

Question: What is the most annoying part in any game you've ever played?

While I personally feel this isn't the best answer I could think of, there are certain parts of the Paper Mario sequels that basically exist to anger you, and if you've played them, you already know what I'm talking about. Especially chapter 7 in TTYD...

Actually, that time I spent an hour and a half slowly making my way through a Fire Emblem level only for my guys to miss nearly every attack and all be murdered by the boss is up there too.

On the flipside with Fire Emblem, though, there's nothing more satisfying than sending that one character that you have ridiculously OP right into the middle of enemy territory and watching them spend their turn running up to get killed. *coughFrederickcough*

Fuzzies are still lil shits. The video kept lagging during the memory game and I was just "I LEGITIMATELY DON'T KNOW WHERE THE SHELL IS IF IT DID THIS WHILE I WAS PLAYING I WOULD KILL IT"

I know that feel. My regular laptop dicking me around is making it really hard to get anywhere in my screenshot nuzlocke. (I have my old laptop, Hex, but this asshole is a goddamn space heater even when running simple programs and tends to crash when faced with ROMs. THIS IS WHY I REPLACED YOU, HEX.)
