The A is like the A in "father", except you say it through your nose. You'll feel it vibrating in your sinuses, as well as in the back of your throat.
The N is like the NG in "sing".
and the "glais" sounds like the English word "glaze" before a vowel, and drop the -Z before a consonant, or when it's by itself.
Stress falls on the last syllable.

Thanks. That is what Google Translate gave me, when I ran a web search, so I am glad it is not wrong. the last part is what confuses me, because I think I should pronoun it as awn gla sei (I am separating for how I think it should be said, due to the phrase "Parlez-vous Francais?"). But I will not blame you for not explaining how it is pronounced. Probably have to run it through my computer, since it has something where I type in whatever I want and it reads it back.

That's uh, accurate-ish? Here I'll try. You leave out a lot of sounds that are written down in French, 'Anglais' does not have a s sound at the end because of this. It comes out more like... awnglai? awngley? xD It's a lot like Français in the end part *proceeds to speak French to self and still not be able to write down how it's pronounced*

I guess that is why accent marks help in pronounication. Anyway, I ran it through my computer's little program and it pronounces it as ang leys, which gives the a a long vowel sound, but since s is supposed to be silent at the end, like in Jacques, according to you, the correct pronunciation is probably ang ley. Could still be wrong though.

Edit: Looked up something better I was pronouncing the beginning correctly, so I would say that the first one in your post was right.

Edit 2: Forget that last note. Upon more looking around, the last part of anglais has neither an s sounds nor a long a it is supposed to have sound similar to the i in if, so it is difficult to spell the correct pronounication.
