Wow that's pretty useful! Writing your lessons while trying to find the symbols in the font was a pain in the behind...

So uh, anyone know a website where I could record my voice? Wait, maybe I could do it in the Cloud??

That is about as far as my knowledge of French goes. Probably should see about a phrase for asking if they speak English.

Update: Does not seem that different than asking if they speak French, but it does sound weirder, at least if the online translation is correct.
Dunno if you found it already, but it's "Parlez vous anglais?" Not going into how to pronounce that though xD I can do the french accent, but I'm awful at explaining it

Well, American English doesn't have a rolled R, and it doesn't differentiate between post-dental and alveolar stops (which would be a problem in some languages - IIRC, there's a language family in India which does) (oh, and a "stop" is a sound where the airflow is "stopped" in the process of making a sound) and the velar L isn't really noticeable because it's an allophone of the normal English L. Therefore - in English at least - I don't have a speech impediment.
Hime-Chan wrote:Wow that's pretty useful! Writing your lessons while trying to find the symbols in the font was a pain in the behind...
Yeah, that's how I did it for years. Then I gave up and installed the IPA keyboard. Now I can switch back and forth between 4 keyboards - QWERTY, IPA, Japanese, and Tengwar.

you could link to a file in a cloud, you could upload it to you-tube, and for recording it, I suggest Audacity. It's free sound-editing software that's really easy to use.
My DC Fanfic: Awaking and Arising - Shiromi writes her version of the end of the series. With 100% more lesbians and immortal zombie boys. And existential crises. Lots of them.

Audacity is quite good, and can make you sound at least slightly better than you actually are (trust me).

Thanks. That is what Google Translate gave me, when I ran a web search, so I am glad it is not wrong. the last part is what confuses me, because I think I should pronoun it as awn gla sei (I am separating for how I think it should be said, due to the phrase "Parlez-vous Francais?"). But I will not blame you for not explaining how it is pronounced. Probably have to run it through my computer, since it has something where I type in whatever I want and it reads it back.

It is indeed from chess, though not from the song "One night in Bangkok". It is a part from "Opening Ceremony".

And I'd really like to see it too. I think I currently have musical fever, I need more musicals!

I used it on my video. I recorded 10 minutes of material, then deleted all of the screw-ups, ummms, and errrrs. It's very, very handy.

That's uh, accurate-ish? Here I'll try. You leave out a lot of sounds that are written down in French, 'Anglais' does not have a s sound at the end because of this. It comes out more like... awnglai? awngley? xD It's a lot like Français in the end part *proceeds to speak French to self and still not be able to write down how it's pronounced*
