UPDATE (1/15/14): To avoid any possible confusion for players, the Detective's ability "Eliminate" has now been changed to "Investigate". This is to avoid any connotations the word "eliminate" may share with the Spy's ability, "Execute".
This should solve any future confusion about what does what. Apologies for any confusion beforehand. As a reaminder:
- Execute is an ability held solely by the Spy. It allows them to kill one player each phase and remove them from the game.
- Investigate is an ability held solely by the Detective. It allows them to investigate one player as the Spy each phase. The result of the investigate ability will definitively tell them "(Player Name) is NOT the Spy" or "(Player Name) IS the Spy!". This ability is only for information and does not do anything to the Spy player as a result (as in, it does not auto-arrest them). Once you have located the Spy with this method, it is very important to be CAREFUL: Do not mention, in any way, to any of the other players that you located the Spy using this ability. Your job is to very creatively influence public opinion to get the Spy arrested, but you may not be able to do it immediately in the very next phase. Again: This ability's results and your possessing it are secrets.

Game will begin in 48 minutes! At this time, check your private message inbox for your role and get ready to play. This is when the Preparation Phase will begin, to give people time to get their roles. The actual game will begin in 24 hours with the first phase of voting.

For now, we need to give everyone (especially those who do not play Mafia at all) time to get their roles and get set. After that, we'll see how things go.
