Superb discovery.

Totally, absolutely AGREE. She has been a mysterious figure, and in many instances, she is mentioned for very very trivial reasons (eg: Yamamura suddenly mentions something about her etc)

A harmless little old lady- it's the perfect disguise. Besides, as all Eddie Izzard fans know, little old ladies are invincible and live forever.

How I missed this thread is beyond me.  Yamamura is one of my favorite characters.  He's so goofy and funny and yes, I do feel that he has bad luck and plots just seem to follow him.  It's like murders follow Conan (funny how it finally hit Megure that it's not Mouri, it's Conan. lol).

Anyway, interesting theory...Yamamura's grandmother being the BO boss.  I totally forgot about the phone thing with that 7 Children song.  I forgot he dialed the number and freaked out Conan.

For now, I'm liking this theory.  His grandmother as the boss, and so far, to my knowledge, Ai has never met her, so that "BO Radar of hers" has yet to be tested on her.

Unless the actress in the current arc turns out to be Vermouth in disguise, I think the theory just broke. Aoyama IS watching us!  :o

Sounds like a really plausible theory for everything when the characters are outside of Tokyo, and are not in Osaka. Unfairly if you do count all those other instances it is clear he plays a little part being a goof ball, but his hints are not as vital as for example the Itakura-case was.

As for his grandmother, the rural lady is not versed in fata morganas let alone crafting up a plan like the one of retrieving Kir.

If he were a codename it would be IMHO root beer

he's not the BO boss

Yamamura's just the Silver Surfer, and the BO Boss is Galactus.

Actually, Yamamura reminds me a little of Jar Jar. Which means...

*Gin walks into the Mori Detective Agency*
Gin: Conan... I AM YOUR FATHER!
Conan: NOOOOOO!
Gin: oh, and Sherry's your sister.
Kogoro: *drunken Wookie noise*
