How about a new deduction that I couldn't do with the manga alone which I put in spoilers so I won't ruin anyone else's fun... It is anime safe.

When scar Akai took the duct tape off his eyes, the burn and his face was unaffected meaning scar Akai wasn't wearing a mask unless he could fix it rather quickly. This means that if scar Akai is Bourbon, he must have a face shape similar to Akai Shuuichi's and might actually be burned. This corroborates with another scene in the manga which is in clear text because it is MANGA SPOILERS (When scar Akai was filmed leaving the bank, his face wasn't disrupted as duct tape would be expected to do to a mask) Scar Akai might be fast at fixing makeup, but is he fast enough to undo his hands and fix the makeup in ~ 2min? If indeed scar Akai is Bourbon, the burn being real may explain why ANOTHER MANGA SPOILER (Bourbon hates Akai. Akai might have been the cause of the burn due to some incident. It would also provide a convenient explanation as to how Gin could recognize scar Akai/Bourbon right away even from a distance. ) Of course he might be the real Akai (I don't buy it) and the burn was real. Misztina mentioned that a recent burn would look a lot more pink and would probably pour blood if duct tape was laid across it and ripped off.

I suppose there is a possibility of that, bu given Akai's handedness preferences so far, he seems to be left handed. Incidentally, I made a list of all the times Akai 'shandedness may be determined. I'll repeat them here so you can compare them to the actions of known left and right handed characters and make up your mind yourself.

There are people who are ambidextrous that still have one hand that is more dominant than the other. I am ambidextrous, though I still use my right hand more than I do my left. However, there are certain things I do well with my left hand, like throwing a ball or one handed texting.

Shooting a gun with your off-hand isn't easy, especially one-handed and without stabilization. I'd like for Gosho to have went with the right-handed thing now to throw people off, and then later reveal that his left hand was injured in the escape. It'd be a fairly easy revelation to show later.

I find it's interesting how Jodie acts so Japanese, even though she's American.  I'm thinking most Americans would, nine-times-out-of-ten, say what they saw.  It's much more of a Japanese thing to suffer in silence.

Dunno, she should have, I guess she trusts Conan enough that he has some sort of plan for Okiya.  Plus, she's not one to ask for help.

Also, tape on Scar Akai's face...it must have been painful as hell to rip it off, since it was on his scar as well!  Anyways, with all this debate about who's the real Akai, why did Scar Akai save Conan?  Was it because he's actually Akai and doesn't want him to die...or is he Bourbon and is somewhat like Vermouth - has an interest in Conan?

Jodie removed the tape from her mouth so that she could bite the tape off of her wrists.  Scarkai still had the tape on his mouth.  It wouldn't be very logical to remove it and then put it back on.
