A draw was a nice way to end it. I just couldn't see how Wendy could win that without pulling a

"character gets beaten up until the last second when something stupid makes him/her stand up and kick everyone's asses"

and it's good it didn't go in that route. It's much more realistic to have some people lose (or in this case, not win) once in a while, especially after the number of victories Fairy Tail had in the recent chapters.

Still, I´m wondering how God slayer Magic is acquired ... And Jellal is pretty screwed up.

Nothing much to say about the latest file.

I guess the anime is going for a 26 episodes filler arc. In the last season they brought the Earthland counterparts of the dudes from Edolas. Now they also bring back some of the Oracion Seis. This is overall kinda original I guess, but the plot they have is kinda meh so far cause it's so generic.

I wonder how the Magic Council guy knew Jellal was in fact Jellal. And I so want to know the relationshup between Jellal and the one from Mermaid that fights with a katana.

he didn't know he was Jellal exactly. He just knew from his previous stint in Fairy Tail that Mystogan wasn't supposed to exist in this world anymore, so that whoever was running around as Mystogan here was obviously an impostor.

also, pumpkin dude is officially suspicious, calling him for evil mastermind.

it doesn't necessarily have to be 100% proof, but when you have the evidence of "this guy is an impostor, the original guy disappeared to Edolas and the connection to Edolas is pretty much severed (iirc), and the guy who we think he is has very very big reasons that he would want to hide himself as someone else", along with the fact that they were both in the council at one point, it's pretty likely that the guy would "know" it was Jellal, given the information.

The chapter did seem a bit cruel... but it was also really awkward and somewhat out of place.

Just my two cents.

how so? The only thing I can really think of as being out of place as the "when there's two people left, there are 5 minutes where the 2nd place person will instead be last place", which pretty much screamed "something bad's gonna happen to the 2nd place person (probably Lucy)" to me, but as a whole the chapter seemed pretty on par with the arc.

Too bad, I liked Team B and wanted to see more of the dynamics between them.
The new formation was a bit obvious (this isn't a complaint btw. This was the most logical formation).

The next battles should be interesting.

I'm very excited to read chapter 293, because of the showdown between Sabertooth and Fairy Tail. >_<
And maybe it's just me but I feel like the mangaka makes Natsu too op'd sometimes. ._. I hope this doesn't happen in the next chapter. u_u
