This is the only BO case where Conan has had the advantage, both in planning as well as in the element of surprise.

This is the only BO case, that I recall, where Conan got wind about the BO's intentions beforehand (bless you Akai and your 1337 h4XX0r skillz) and had enough time to be prepared. Crazy prepared. Add to that the fact that Conan and Haibara are unknown to the BO, except for Vermouth, whose lips are sealed. This would mean that Vermouth's accomplice would be relying on incomplete information. Conan's side has the upper hand.

And yet... that preparation resulted in a stunningly daft plan that teetered between what can only be described as undeniably illogical and unnecessarily temerarious.

All I can say is: It's a good thing Conan's not allowed to lose, or else the good guys would be in trouble.

btw the way gosho include KID in this chapter is great but also kind of anticlimactic. But maybe thats only because KID is so awesome

Not sure if that was already said somewhere. But I think Sera will now be used to prove that Akai is alive. Since Bourbon is suspicious and he+Vermouth seems to know that Sera is his sister? There was also the case with the siblings DNA-test where Amuro was introduced.
Maybe he'll either test it on Okiya who he'll find suspicious later on or Amuro turns into a grave robber and digs out "Akai" XD
That would also make sense why Gosho repeated the "Brother-sister" theme like with Kir-Eisuke.

Oh My God. Chek was right... In EVERY LAST TINY aspect of the Okiya = Akai, Amuro = Bourbon and Sera = Akai's sis... That's it! Chekhov is SO TOTALLY Gosho in disguise!

I'm afraid that at this point, Chekhov is writing the plot, because he comes up with a fitting explanation for every situation and Gosho reads, nods and goes along with it
Let's see how far we can take this: Quick Chekhov! Think up a good way to make Bourbon reveal he's the easter bunny in disguise and Gosho will do it
Jokes aside, I think it's entirely possible that the big communities have atleast some influence on Gosho (provided he speaks/understands english or has some one close to him who can translate)

Oh and btw I was afraid that Kid would be used for a kind of Deus Ex Machina but I imagined it more in the terms of "Bourbon threatens conan with a gun, is about to shoot, a card flies from the shadows, knocking the gun out of Amuro's hand. Later Conan walks up to one of the train guest, saying "Thanks". Perplexed look, then Conan lecturing him about how early he saw through his disguise" , but this was... different... I'm still not sure what to think of the reveleation :/

finally, so that's why the "old lady's" maid was able to run fast, it was Kid. But now we might not have a Kid heist case next, the train was damaged, there was even a murder inside. Knowing Jirokichi and his money amount, he'll use another oportunity to lure Kid since we are already familiar with the train and it's secrets(some of them at least). So if there will be a kid case, the location will be different.

also, in the end I was a bit pissed at Mitsuhiko's loud mouth. Because of him Vermouth figured out the whole plan, after taking the video of Shiho in the first place and causing her to be hunted by the BO. But I guess without Ver putting it all together, she and Bourbon would look too outsmarted.

Now Vermouth really has to keep quiet about Haibara as Yukiko said since she told Gin that Sherry was killed and didn't want the other BO to know the effect of the drug. That only if she wants to kill Haibara herself, without the others finding out

Gosho is keeping us in suspense, AGAIN Someone brought up the fact that gosho said the boss is someone that has ALREADY  appeared in this bell tree express arc. Omg who could it be  :-\ could it be someone from the police headquarters? Could it be professor agasa? Yukiko? Vermouth herself? Sonoko's uncle? Dang, everything is possible when it comes to putting on disguise. Is it possible that shiho's parents are still alive? Since even akai is able is fake his death  :o according to chekvov's theory, gosho mentioned in an interview that the boss is someone haibara would never expect, omg 15 years of suspense, I couldn't take it anymore.  :'( but I don't want DC to end yet

Amuro's seem like a good guy  :D  And Vermouth actually saved everyone by planting the c4 bombs in the last cabin. How about vermouth's aim in the organization? Maybe she was the first guinea pig for aptx4869? The reason behind her youthful appearance  :| and why isn't shinichi's dad brought up in this case, I was waiting for it gosho did not emphasize much on sera too, haibara too was said to be unconscious the whole time, such anticlimax. More Bo related episodes please gosho!  ;D

After rereading the file, I think it was Ai giving Kid instructions after all. AFAIK Conan didn't know of the Rye/Bourbon rivalary revealed on page 5. And it is unlikely Ai would have told him.

@Akai's Body: Unlikely that this might happen. The Body mostly likely got transfered by Jodie and Co. and perhaps might also beeb cremented.

That makes a lot of sense, and I agree completely. What the readers know, the characters don't necessarily know.

I stand corrected: I had understood that Conan was doing the talk through the ear-piece. It is Ai... but still. They know who's who now. Ai will not fail to inform Conan, certainly, especially if ... some of the things under the tag come about.

He assumed he was in the train car with Sherry, who is now dead. This brought me to another thought; if his mission was to eliminate Sherry, it is completed now, and he no longer needs to remain where he is. However, if he was there for other reasons, he doesn't know he's been outed, and needs to clear out.

Which brought me to the disturbing thought: If Amuro was charged with eliminating Sherry, why did he infiltrate the Mouri Agency? Forgive me, I have a terrible memory and may have forgotten something that has already answered this, but WHY did Bourbon infiltrate the Mouri agency on his hunt for Sherry? What was the link he found that led him there?

Oh and also... Remember when Sera made us all suspicious by spotting Ai's reflection on Agasa's specs? Makes me wonder if that was completely innocent, or whether it is still suspicious.

I'm just glad we got so much excitement. I'm looking forward for more!
