Which person is the main female character, Haibara or Ran?

While watching a lot of Conan Hesitate to my mind this question

Which person is the main female character, Haibara or Ran?

Agreed. Picking one over the other is pointless and just spark endless fighting between fans of both characters.

p.s why the qualification of "Anime Conan"? AFAIK Anime Conan and Manga Conan are the same person, unlike Anime Eri & Manga Eri

Heroine is the female form of hero, so in case of general story telling it would be the main protagnist(a.k.a the lead character for the good side). In this story(DC) with a male main protagnist(Conan) I don't think there is a heroine. Conan is the hero/main protagnist, Ran is his love interest/childhood friend/caretaker, Haibara is his friend/partner in his fight against BO/other criminals.

p.s now if by "heroine" you mean the main love interest of the hero/main protagnist then it is Ran no doubt, since we already got to the ShinRan confession stage and nothing but teases about AiCon.Then again, if that's what you wanted to find out just ask that instead of the ambigous and often misunderstood "heroine".

2. She appeared far more often: Ran 356 episodes to Haibara 182 episodes from episode 128 onward Ran 407 files to Haibara 264 files from file 176 onward, data from detectiveconanworld wiki.
3.More closely related to the main character's past.
4. Ran is the canon love interest(big plus).

Pretty much. Although I don't want to acknowledge it as true since Haibara is the far more interesting character (to me), it's one of those things that's too obvious to be in denial about.

Ran is the main female lead. She isn't a heroine, because she's no hero.

Haibara Ai was the plot device for an arc, leading up to the double moonlight case. Now she acts as a support role.
