Re: Detective Conan Files 812-81X *SPOILER FREE* Discussion
Seem like Okiya knew Conan=Shinichi at this point, given that Sera already knew that during the FBI Dinner case that makes Amuro the only Bourbon suspect yet to reach it.
Conan does seem really dumb in term of concealing his identity in this case. I wonder when we see Amuro's "Conan=Shinichi" case and how far the Bourbon Arc goes on as it seems to be coming to a close real soon.
and I think the trick in both cases involve coin or coin-shape objects, since this recent case the dead body is near a vending machine and the key word sanada.

Posted in the wrong thread initially. Good thing there were boxes. :'(

Subaru has known about Conan's identity since the paper airplane case so no development there. Distracting Sera with it though was something else. Also more intentional right handedness.
Coins spilled on the ground along with the cigarette/flower stem made the shape. The blood went around it creating the shape. The kid left and then later collected his fallen coins from the offering can he had. The sharp edge on the second character was where the wallet was. Natural deaths. Conan is going to have the police put coins in the holes to see that they will be a perfect fit.
Sucks about the preschool teacher. I was sad.

What did you mean by this? I can't think of when in the airplane case Okiya would have figured it out, but I'm probably not remembering everything.Chekhov MacGuffin wrote: Subaru has known about Conan's identity since the paper airplane case so no development there.
Also, I hope that's your deduction of the solution and not ripped straight from 814 because otherwise doesn't really belong here still.

I made an argument you can dig up in Chek's theories that Subaru knows Conan's identity. It's at the very end.
It stinks the Chinese translators release so early, because now people think I might have cheated. I didn't. -_-

The thing is, even for the most casual readers, it's possible to understand this: ''Okiya knows Conan's identity''. Before, it wasn't really very easy to process that. That type of minimum development is classic Gosho....T.T

I've been picking up on an odd pattern in how Okiya keeps referring to Shinichi.
1. Kinichi
2. Kudou Shinichi
3. "Shinichi-kun"
4. Kinichi
5. Shinichi
The fifth time when Ran was passing along a message to Shinichi may not count since Okiya wasn't the one speaking at the time.
I noticed Conan picking up it and wonder what significance it may actually have.

Is it true that Conan wouldn't have figured out the truth (whatever it may be) without Okiya's Ninja hint (I mean, that fast)?
I'm wondering because in previous files, Akai was at most as good as Shinichi/Conan, but never more brilliant.

I don't remember see Subaru or Akai portrayed as superior to Conan but this case. Is there a reason to it?

Yeah you're right...Okiya and Akai always were in the same level as Conan...User 4869 wrote: I don't remember see Subaru or Akai portrayed as superior to Conan but this case. Is there a reason to it?
But now Okiya was faster than Conan...Maybe Okiya improved his deduction skills during his free time XDXD
Anyway,I guess it's a way to make us believe that Okiya=Bourbon...

I still hope that´s the case. I don´t wanna Okiya to be Akai, that´s way to predictable. >.<AICHAN wrote:Yeah you're right...Okiya and Akai always were in the same level as Conan...User 4869 wrote: I don't remember see Subaru or Akai portrayed as superior to Conan but this case. Re: Detective Conan Files 812-814 *SPOILER FREE* Discussion Thread: "Cold Case"
If Okiya already knew that Conan = Shinichi, then I find his comment about Shinichis death and his thought "tha's how it is" very strange.
And that solution... that case is ridiculous... >_<

Perhaps you don't recall Ran lies to Okiya about the Ran's friend who lend Subaru the house and the High school detective Kudo Shinichi are difference person?
But if you already got it I'm sorry for mistaken.

Re: Detective Conan Files 812-814 *SPOILER FREE* Discussion Thread: "Cold Case"
chek's solution is basically what I was thinking, except for some reason I was thinking
as for Okiya's "so that's how it is...", even if he knew Conan=Shinichi, he would still not know how Conan managed to pull the dual personality off, until he saw Conan bursting out of the bathroom speaking like Shinichi via a voice-changing device, which could either make him think that in a "so that's how he manages to talk like Shinichi over the phone" way, or, in the case where Okiya is in fact hiding a voice changer with his tall-necked shirts, a "so that's how that old guy managed to whip up a voice changer for me so quick" way.
