Possibly to protect lovers a little bit better? I dunno.

pofa wrote: Protect
User protects target
- Role with that action: Makoto, Ran
- Night/Day action, can be covered
- Protect/Lovey-Dovey/Bone Breaking is handled as the same action when investigated/stake-out
- May choose to Protect any number of people at day. If one of the Protected people is going to get lynched, he will jump in and stop the lynching. The lynching votes will not be shown.
- May also choose one individual to Protect at night. If said individual is about to be killed by the BO, he again Protects the individual. The protected also learns if he was Protected (only if the protection was necessary, though). The killer also finds out that the target was protected. The Protected individual and the Protector then learns the identity of the attacker(!) (unless headshotted, in which case the protector will die but the target will survive. No identity will be revealed then. If Quickshot is used, the protector will not die, but no identity will be revealed)
- Penalties:
Makoto: If Makoto successfully protects someone, he'll automatically fly out of Japan at the end of that phase. So, if Makoto protects somebody on Night 2, he will be on the plane on Day 2, and then be Abroad on Night 3, at which point he could choose to fly back to Japan (and arrive again on Night 4), or stay there.
Ran: If Ran successfully protects someone, she'll get Temporarily Injured for 3 phases. and can't protect anybody anymore. But she can still talk freely and vote.
An Injured Ran MAY NOT be healed and lose her Injured status this way.
- If discombobulated while protecting, the protection will fail and they don’t Protect the person. So they don't fly away or get injured, nor do they learn the identity of the attacker.
- Can't protect anyone from APTX
- May not protect themselves. MAY protect each other.

Thanks, Abs. ^^ Also,
So lynch votes are not shown in the case of Lovey-Dovey, either.- In addition, Lovey-Dovey can protect against lynching and APTX.
- This follows the same rules as protect

Though we could also consider revealing votes after VoR in the future.

I disagree with Schillok about wanting to have VoR show votes.

Mafia: The only place where you can find Gin and Akai married together with 8 kids all disguised as Akai. Or something epic like that.

Re: Mafia Round 39: Secret Mysterious Hidden Secret Forbidden Passion (Night 3)
End of Night 3...
He listened.
No sound except the occasional drip of the leaking tap. He’d spent part of the day he’d been trapped here, unable to see or speak, working out the exact time lapse between each drip, and had counted them to keep track of the passage of time. Now that he was ready to attempt escape, the sound was simply an annoying distraction.
His captor (at least, he assumed that was who it had been; the footsteps had been the same volume and length apart each time) had looked in on him at sporadic intervals throughout the day, so there was a chance this was going to go horribly wrong. However, he hadn’t heard any movement in the room for three hours, twenty minutes, and forty-eight seconds, and he knew that the longer he stayed here, the slimmer his chances for escape became, especially since his captor hadn’t yet shown interest in feeding him.
He knew he was being kept in the bathroom of a room at the Beika Hotel. He didn’t know which one, except that it was presumably not the one in which he’d found the body of a police officer that morning. His instincts had taken over and he’d immediately begun examining the body, noting first that the victim had been strangled and that the corpse had lain in the tub for several hours. Before he could get much further, he’d been hit from behind and had woken up blindfolded, gagged, and tied to what he surmised was a metal handlebar next to the toilet.
All day, he’d been gnawing at his ropes around the cloth in his mouth. Now, wincing against the pain, he braced himself and pulled against the bar, feeling the frayed rope begin to snap.
Once he was loose, he reached up and pulled the gag out of his mouth. Next to go was the blindfold; as he’d surmised, it was dark outside again. He turned on the tap and drank deeply, wiping his mouth with his hand when he’d had enough. Then, he crept quietly to the door of the bathroom, listened carefully, and pushed it open.
He crept through the main room and out into the hallway, keeping his footsteps soft on the plush carpet. The temptation to go looking for his captor was strong, but he knew he needed to leave the hotel and inform the police of what had happened, especially since the incident involved one of their own.
He reached the end of the hallway and was about to call an elevator when the sounds of a crowd milling about and cameras snapping pictures made him pause. Pressing himself against the wall, he glanced around the corner.
An open room and a portion of the hallway had been blocked with police tape. Several police officers flanked a figure in handcuffs, leading her down the hallway. The handcuffed said nothing in response to the calls of “Miss Stopwatch! Do you have anything to say for yourself?â€

Yuriko, what.
EDIT: Apparently Yuriko had nothing to do with this, which means either Satou or someone I told my action to gave the info to an officer
