off topic: do we ever know Conan and Ran blood type? we know they are in same group?

I don't know if it's from a canon source, but it's reported to be B.

Come on, it was the only case, where Conan was actually shot, taken to hospital, dramatic worrying over him, Ran found out his true ID, almost kiss scene, Shinichi was back for the second time...

Maybe it sounds like that but it wasn't like that.
When I read a scene about Shiho stopped her research because the Org didn't give her explanation why the Org eliminated her sister, I thought Shiho didn't know anything about Akai, about Akemi and Akai's relationship and about Akai betrayed the Org. That's why she asked the Org about her sister death.
But the recent chapter showed that Shiho knew all of that. So why she asked the Org back then if she already knew all of that? It makes me think that Shiho have managed to bail Akemi out from death sentence after Akai betrayed the Org. That's why she demanded an explanation about her sister death from the Org.

Yeah I was wondering the same...If Shiho knew the whole story (except that Moroboshi dai's real name),she should know why her sister was killed,she doesn't need an explanation...
As you said maybe Shiho did something to keep her sister alive...For example Shiho(probably) had a relationship with Gin,maybe she made a deal with him,in order to save her sister's life...
But then again DC is for young people,I don't think Gosho would go that far XDDDD

I think what unclesporkums is trying to get at is "Was it ever stated which type of blood Conan/Ran has? We know they have the same type, but the question is which?" To which the answer Un' sporks is lookin' for is something like "Yes, in File xxx it was stated their blood type was (A/AB/O/yada)" or "No, it's never been stated what type it is, just that it's the same"

Hopefully that clears things up  As for the question, I don't believe it was specifically said, just that "We don't have enough of the this boy's blood type doctor!" and Ran said "I have the same blood type as him" and...yeah

Except that Conan/Ran's blood type was NEVER specifically stated. Not in chapter 253, not in anywhere else.
We DO NOT know their blood type yet.

Though I have to wonder if Gosho will bring it up. It doesn't seem too important if it wasn't mentioned in that specific chapter.

However, I guess it's not important to the current case either xD Except...there seems to be a lot of familiar things going on right now. Conan being taken away "unconscious" in a car, Haibara tracking him with the spare glasses, someone bleeding a lot and needing blood for a surgery...

I feel there is definitely some sort of end coming up here with all these callbacks

That "Ran and Shinichi have the same blood type B" thing is just one of the stupid imaginations of the old Vietnamese translations in vol 26! >< Even at the 2nd publishing they failed to translate Akemi's message even though the Japanese in that message is really really simple!!!!!!
