As much as it hurts saying that... our guesses are really close the mark these days. We predicted an DB case after 800 back then.
That's true

But along with hope, there's the fact that it would be kind of pointless to have Sera and Scar Akai appear only in the first file and not mentioned again in the case.

There already seems to be quite a bit of obvious evidence. The phone, only one culprit, the knife...actually, even if it was self-defense, the guy technically killed her so he's our man no doubt. ...Unless Gosho pulls a "There was a third person! Ha ha!" stunt on us.

...and then there'd be no Gosho  :|
Well, I didn't say that about files after this one. There's this big hint: Gosho didn't put ''series part five'' on 800, and neither on 801. That must mean 800 is continuing from this case.

There wasn't a "Series Resolution" label anywhere either, was there?

Hm, the way I see it: Gosho is pulling the old "hide a needle in a haystack" trick. The haystack is a DB case and the needle is plot development. It'll seem like a normal case and them BAM something happens and a few miss it because they went "Gah, it's just a DB case..."

...At least, I hope that happens xD

Indeed, that's what I think too. Having to wait is annoying though >.<

I think you're right,we're all waiting for file 802 but I doubt something interesting will happen during this file...

At the very least we should find out a bit more about what happened after the crash, right? If Megure and Takagi are the officers there at the very least Conan can get info from Takagi about what the others were doing there and we might also find out about Conan's 'questioning' (though that bit is more of hope than anything else...)
The Sera-SA development may be involved too, as sonoci pointed out this case already has most of the pieces in place so not as many panels will be used on giving clues on that, meaning more time to look into more plot related stuff... :)

The best thing would be an chapter divided in 2 parts, like 801...

1 part: wrapping up loose ends and the aftermath of the robbery case (preferably a flashback) and...

2 part: investigation on the ''domestic violence'' case. This case could have something to do with BO (highly unlikely, but like everyone said, one can hope :P) and will lead to an greater case or an Haibara-Sera showdown. (+what Stopwatch said).

Also, they got invited for a barbecue just by sharing rice with them....a bit suspicious, isn't it? (I'm sorry if someone has already mentioned this, i haven't browsed through this whole discussion yet ^^)

No one mentioned it I think. But you're right: that's really suspicious.

I bet you that the man knew about Conan's "I bring death with me everywhere" ability and decided he needed that around to finally pull off the job!  :o :o

...Though, what's written from me isn't as funny as the 4komas  :-X

Hopefully I'll have some more for the next file~

Well, I don't know the 4komas but what you said about the guy knowing Conan's "ability" was funny x))

@Incomplete-tantei: The below is a 4koma
Spoiler: 4koma - The Logical Choice
Most of my better funny moments are in another thread xD

But I digress,

@leokiko: You know, I'd love one time for there to be a dream case or joke case or special of some sort where Conan turns out to be the culprit at the end. I mean...what a twist!

*cough* Anyway, so far I believe the common theory is that the guy purposely left his phone under the bench and took the wife's to use later. When he got her aggravated enough he used her phone to call his and get the attention of the kids. Somehow he turned the knife around on her (maybe she had a fake one *ala Halloween gag* and he had a real one) and killed her. I'm thinking the evidence will definitely include the phone and that the last call was to the lure phone.

Any additions? :P

So.. 4komas are comics drawn by mangaka ?

LOL XD. I immediately thought of Brook in One Piece when I saw that. ALSO, where the hell was Conan keeping that? =D

And yea, that would be cool, but no one would ever find out he's the culprit. He is always the solving all freaking cases for the almost all-useless police lol.

That theory makes sense, but how the husband know she would do something like that, even provoked? It's too much luck based to set this up and i think this case is too obvious on who is the culprit. There's something more to it.

Oh, well, I'm not a mangaka, but eh-heh ^///^

*cough* Um, I guess the easiest way to explain is that a 4koma is a comic with 4 panels. I'm not sure if koma means panel, but I guess the straightforward equivalent would be 4panels  ;)

@leokiko: To answer your first question: HAMMERSPACE =D

It'd still be fun to see it somehow happen ;D Even if he wasn't caught, at least if the audience had a "GASP NO" moment it'd be cool

Well, there have been a few How-dun-its remember. ...and there pretty much is no other culprit right now. But I agree that it does seem luck based...though Gosho has pulled the "purposely made victim angry to work plan out" thing before -.-''
