I love how protective she got in that movie. :3 It was so sweet. And I REALLY like her in the manga too recently! Haibara is like an older sister or mother and... I love that side of her.

I like that side of her,but I would love to see the old Haibara sometimes,you know,the poetic and witty Haibara,who talks about the sad things of life...
I also want her to face a BO member again,to show us that she has changed,and that she can fight against her fear...I'm tired to see her waiting for Conan to bring information...

^ I'm not such a big fan of that Haibara- although I don't have a problem with her. I love the quiet character when they start showing a more aggressive or protective or (silently) happy attitude. But I DO love it when she teases Conan. It's the funniest freaking thing! XD

Yeah. Haibara seems like the type that doesn't LIKE to wait around. She seems to be the type that would go all Laura Croft if beckoned enough! XD (Exaggeration, i'ts a joke. xD)

Well I guess that's why Haibara has many fans...she has so many different sides,which shows she's not a stereotypical character^^

About the Lara croft thing,I don't think it is an exxageration...she was raised by the BO so I guess she has some knowledge about how to fight...and I'm sure if she sees someone she care about in danger,she would do anything to protect that person,even fighting Gin XDDD

Well she knows how to shoot a gun.... jumping from rooftop to rooftop, rock-climbing, dodging bullets, swinging from thing to thing,and speaking with a British accent are questionable! XD
Though yes, if Ayumi or Mitsuhiko or Genta or Ran or Conan were in danger she probably would jump at the chance to protect them.

I like deep characters,which are not static...being cute isn't enough for me XDD
And we didn't see haibara facing the BO many times,so she could surprise us^^

Of course! Deep and cute is the perfect character for me! :3 I especially like the sweet characters who act like nothing's wrong and try to hide it but end up breaking down horribly when the'yre alone. (I'm BEGGING for that to happen to Ayumi or Kazuha at some point). Thankfully, Haibara is cute, stoic, yet she breaks down when alone as well.

She could- and probably will. I just hope they don't try and make her THAT kick-butt. It just isn't realistic and would probably ruin her character.

yeah,Haibara is just perfect to me,even if she changed a bit from the begining...she's still better than the other female characters...

And I doubt she will kick butt like Ran or Kazuha...but she could be strong enough to defend herself if she's in danger with a BO member^^

Now that I wouldn't agree on. While Ayumi may not be mature and she may not be as intelligent as Haibara is, she is a sweet kid who cares about lots of people and has fantastic morals. She isn't afraid to take risks and can be brave but does have fears. In my book Haibara is equal to Ayumi.

Maybe. She was a scientist and not a sniper or something like that. I think she may be able to defend herself temporarily but she probably wouldn't win.

If she had the abilities that other BO members did she may not be so scared of them. But she's smart and quick so she has a good chance.

hmmm Ayumi looks like most of the little girls in animes...I don't see anything special...But she's cute and I like her relationship with Ai and Conan^^
It's just my opinion,I'm more interested in adults in DC...the DB aren't the characters I like the most...

I'm not AiCon fan but I like Ai way more than Conan.She's just...well...damn...too many things to be listed here...
She's what she's and perfect in her own way.

In my mind NO ONE deserves to be with her!
Conan/Shinichi deserves only Ran...
but I have to tell you this...

my fave characters
Ai Haibara/Shiho Miano
Akai Shuichi (&/) Subaru Okiya (they are equal but if they are same person all the better)
Kuroba Kaito/Kaitou Kid
!Ran & Conan/Shinichi (equal in my eyes)!
Vermouth

Ran is not my fave because she's too much of main heroine to be the best...
Conan/Shinichi is an idiot who lies to his best friend/girlfriend with quite poor excuse...
Kaito is just too much like what I am and I want to be...except the criminal parts...
Haibara on the other hand...she is anything BUT stereotypical character...she is just...
well get the list or read all the points people here love about her...I agree with most of them...

To me Ayumi is different than others. She was hell-bent on making Haibara her friend- something most stereotypical anime girls won't do. And she sticks by Conan, even if he rolls his eyes at her, yells at her, calls her an idiot- that must count for something. XD She managed to make Haibara her friend, thus being the only one to call her Ai-chan, even if Haibara wasn't interested and closed-off. And you've gotta hand it to her, for a kid she's motivated and she's got courage.

Mitsuhiko and Genta as well have their own perks (although I like Mitsuhiko and Ayumi way more than Genta.) Mitsuhiko is extremely smart for his age, he's cautious, and he goes out of his way to make Ayumi and Haibara smile. Genta... there's not much to say for him. XD That's why I love the DB. Gosho actually gives them rather mature traits for first graders. In a way they're deeper than most children written in an anime series! XD I'm not a big fan of adults. I always HATED growing up. HATED it. I had Peter Pan syndrome! XD The only problem I have with adults is that they won't listen to children BECAUSE that's what they are. Children. Because Haibara doesn't seem to care and thinks of them as equals, I like her.

I understand your point of view...I mean,sometimes I think the DB are more interesting than some adults in DC...and the recent DB cases were really good! I guess I grew up so I care more about adults than kids...
Also in the past I used to read DC for the romance and the cases,now I read DC for the BO plot and character development...After so many years I changed my mind about DC...XD

I always hated most children my age when I was little up until middle school where I could find kids like me. The way my parents taught me I was ahead maturity wise (no, not tooting my own horn, at least... not TRYING to! XD). Children who broke rules, talked back, ran off, got in trouble, and got bad grades (when they didn't try to make good ones) annoyed me greatly and so I liked adults far more than children, thus caring more about them. xD But I love children now that I'm older and just adore babysitting... weird.

Yes, I read/watch DC just for the romance and character development! x3 That's always been my favorite part.
