Worst anime in your opinion?

Pretty sure the hate for 4Kids doesn't come from dialogue changes.  Green supersoakers for guns, lolipops instead of cigarettes, and completely erasing a guy's cigarette but leaving the smoke in.  This was all from the single episode of One Piece I saw.

Yugioh had some bad censorship but it's when 4kids still put effort into dubs, so it worked.

Also, Ultimate Muscle was awesome from what I remember. (and had a surprisingly good video game on the GCN)

The Yu-Gi-Oh dub weirded me out slightly; aside from their perception that destroying the world is less evil than trying to kill the main character, their constant replacing of "this character died" with "this character was sent to a realm of nightmares to spend eternity in unending agony" and declaring it LESS disturbing was... kinda creepy.

Btw, what company was responsible for dubbing dragonball, cardcaptor sakura, yugioh, and zoids? They should not have bothered changing/localizing the opening themes if they're not even making an effort on it.

I know that, as I said I saw a video on youtube with all these edits. But 4kids don't deserve all this hate, they did what they thought was necessary to make money and that was promoting One Piece as a show for american kids (and since the original version is made for japanese kids and teens, censorship was a certainty), yet as I said people overreact as if the company had ruined the cultural jewel of the century. If people must hate something, it's the intolerance of our western societies regarding issues such as knives or cigarettes in anime.

The problem is they licensed a series which would require such extreme censorship.

And the Kuro arc dub was actually "ok" all things considered, so it makes how poor the rest of the dubbed arcs were even more frustrating. Terrible voice acting, dialogue, ruined story elements (even if it's stuff that didn't need to be censored), cut story arcs, etc.


and of course people overreact, it's the internet.

I think I dislike Excel Saga the most. My friend told me to watch it, because it was so "good and funny". If that is funny... It is simply baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
Also RomeoxJuliet. It started out really nicely, the first few episodes were okay and all, then it was blaaaah all the way. Seriously... And in the first few epis they misspelled Shakespeare's name too.

I thought they did okay with RxJ. It wasn't amazing or anything and the tree thing was stupid, but I enjoyed it. But yeah, I wonder what Shakespeare would've thought if he'd seen it and what they did to "Willy".

Willy was the only one who was okay for me, maybe because he kept quoting Shakespeare (himself? ) which was one of the rare good points of the series.
But that tree, and Romeo... and his father... ridiculous.
