Have you ever witnessed a murder/robbery?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

I have once been caught up in a crime myself.  It was not a murder or robbery but a really terrible one.  Here is the story: I was walking along a deserted street near the station alone at around 6 p.m. in fall.  So it was pretty dark.  Suddenly, I felt someone aprroaching me from behind secretly.  At first, I thought it was one of my friends who also uses the course to get to the same dormitory as me. But then, I was hugged strongly by the person and he clapped his hand across my mouth and said "Don't cry or I'll kill you" in a thick voice.  I realized that this was the end of my life though I was only 17 years old at that time and screamed without being aware of it.  Then, when I noticed what I was doing,  the man had run away and I had run to reach to the main street...really "thrilling" experience for me...
Get your bearings, figure out your route, weigh up the pros and cons, make your decision, and just stick to it!

Nope, I live in a perfect happy little world where no such thing ever seems to happen. Worst I can recall was the news of some girl in our school getting raped by some guy from the administration. Seriously, why can't the world just be like over here? :P

The story here is that this is a "confession" column that people submit for a newspaper. And the result...

I live in a relatively safe area. Nothing major happens around here. Only close thing is people being apprehended shoplifting from the supermarket I work in occasionally.
