he could never please both the ShinRan's and the AiCon's.
he was hoping that the Series would end with Shinicho's and Run's first Kid.

It's kinda quiet here, because the competitors' deductions for BFRs are always secret... Well, I know sstimson is going to think about it, and I already received the first deduction from a mysterious detective calling themselves nagareboshi... I'd probably get several deductions from Kogorou if he manages to come back in time too... Is anybody else going to get their brains fried try to prevent a murder?

It seems that in the meantime the thread needs some smaller and less dangerously-looking riddle. Here we go:

One road leads to your home where you want to go, the second - to a territory of dangerous bandits. You don't know which one is which and if you choose the wrong one, you'll probably die or at least end up really badly. Fortunately for you, there are Falsy and Truey, twin brothers who can help you. You heard about them - Falsy always lies while Truey doesn't ever. Both of them know which way is dangerous and which one isn't - but they'll only answer one and the same question. Because you can't tell which one is Falsy and which one is Truey, it seems you have to choose a question to ask really wisely.
  What will your question be?

I'm also in.

The question would be:
Spoiler:
"Which road would Your twin brother name safe?"

If the one I asked is Falsy - then he would lie and point to dangerous one.
If it would be Truey - then he will tell truth and point to dangerous route  ;D
If it's correct - I'll skip my turn in riddle so, everyone is free to post one

Yes, it's correct dammit...

The next one, quite nice:

In the medieval times a woman was accused of being a witch. The judge laughed at her and said: "You can choose how you're going to die. Say something, anything. If what you say is true, you shall be thrown into a river with a big rock tied to your leg. If you lie, you shall be burned alive."
The woman wondered for a while and then spoke. She survived.
  What did she say?

Spoiler:
she said she'd be burned alive: Since this wouldn't happen normally, it's a lie, but then she'd be burned alive, which would make it true, etc etc

the judge got very angry at the paradoxery and let her go in frustration :V

Although this is probably the intended right answer, I think it has a flaw:
Spoiler:
The judge could just order her burned alive, but not enough to kill her, and then have her thrown into a river while tied to a big rock.

Well, yes, that was the answer. She said "I'm going to be burned alive".

guess I am as I solved it, so another fork riddle, but slightly different :V

While walking along a road to a village, you come across a fork in the road: One path leads to the town you want to go, and the other one leads to a den of thieves.

At such a fork in the road, you expect to find the usual two people... but instead, there's three!
A resident of the peaceful town: Who always tells the truth
A thief from the thieves' den: Who always lies
A drunkard: Who randomly tells you the truth, or a lie.

You don't know which one is which, of course. Similar to the original riddle, you may ask a question, but this time you may ask two questions. You may ask one person both questions or two people one question each. Who do you ask (let's just call them A B and C, since you don't know who's who), and what do you ask?

Hi all (-:

I'm new here, but I really like eworms BFR. You can expect a try from me next weekend (since i really cant afford to get my brain fried before that ^^).

Well, another version of the current small riddles i really like: http://xkcd.com/246/
Try this one *evil grin*

A question to your riddle, Akonyl:
Spoiler:
If the thief or the resident of the town are asked what the drunkard would say - will they reply randomly or say 'dont know'? I guess random.

Spoiler:
wouldn't be that easy to identify the drunkard :P

Anyway, in that case if you asked the thief what the drunkard would say, the thief actually doesn't know what the drunkard would say, so he would never say "I don't know" and would instead reply with an answer, as would the drunkard if you ended up asking him. Either way, that question doesn't end up getting you much useful information.
Also, to clarify, the answer only requires that you address the men by A, B and C when asking questions about them.

yes, one of the questions does involve asking A a question about B and C, but that's not the right question to ask. :P
