Night 1 Ends!

As you're tumbling through the air, most of the group still manages to perform some pretty interesting maneuvers on their way down. The group's fall ends with a series of loud thuds and splashes signaling each person's reacquaintance with the stone floor at the bottom of a rather shallow puddle. Somehow, this fall doesn't kill anyone, and one by one the group gets up rubbing their aching limbs. As everybody's standing around, you notice a faint glint on the floor, and pick up a rather spooky looking barbed dagger.

"Just what could this dagger be doing here?" you think to yourself. "Why, it's almost as if some nefarious plot was unfolding during that freefall, and it ended up not happening at all. Well, I can't tell if there's blood on the blade or not because it's all wet now, but just imagine if they'd succeeded! Hmm... it probably would have went something like this..."

Kain: "Gack, urk! Please, someone help me!"

"Oh no," you think to yourself, "Kain was attacked!" and rush over to help her. You can't see her that well in the dim light shining down from the room you fell from, but you can tell that she's still moving as you approach her.

Kain: "I... I can't move my legs! It feels like there's a huge weight on them... oh no I'm paralyzed now aren't I? Nooooooo"

As Kain frets over her paralysis, you realize that she's much larger than she should be. Probably because there's a person laying on top of her legs. A person with a very convenient handle sticking out of their back, which you use to pull them off of Kain, who's very grateful for your assistance.

"Hmm," you think to yourself, "that's pretty odd. Do people... usually come with handles?"

You pull at the handle some more until you end up yanking it out, revealing it to be a long, barbed knife. Oh no, it looks like not everybody survived the fall, because here's this person, dead! Well actually, you suppose they did, because it wasn't the fall that killed this person.

And in reality, nothing happened to Kain at all. It's almost like the victim chose a completely random person to fall on top of or something!

The group is frightened at this, and a few people decide to start backing off into the dark tunnel.

"Wait!" you shout, brandishing your newly-found persuasive instrument, "that's dangerous! You don't know what could be out there, you might get killed! We should stay here where we at least have some light, so we can decide who we want to kill and then maybe get killed out there."

You nod to yourself, satisfied by your logic. The group nods too, with their eyes locked on the knife in your hand.

You snap out of it. "Oh, what an overactive imagination I have there! Ooh, it seemed so real while I was dreaming it up too, almost like something that was supposed to happen, yet fate decided against at the last minute... but hey, that last part sounds good anyway!"

Turning to the group, you brandish your new-found knife and shout "Hey, someone tried to kill one of us in that pit! I say we decide who it was now and gut 'em! Yeah!"

Summary: Absolutely nothing happened.

Also: I would appreciate it if this day phase, you got your actions and votes in before 8 instead of waiting until the clock runs out, because I may or may not be here at 9 tomorrow and if all day action people hand in their actions in time + the vote's obvious, I'll just end it an hour early. Otherwise you might have to wait a few hours for the change.
