okay, lets put it all together in some simple words . Conan would never let someone live in his house, who is found suspicious by one of his reliable friends(in these kind of situations) i mean haibara's intuition when seeing a BO member. So i guess Akai=Okiya, and conan knows it because AKAI TOLD HIM.

Personally, I think Okiya is Kudo Yuusaku. I've mentioned this several times in the Cbox on the manga page, but as of right now, I have no proof to back it up.

I honestly don't think that Okiya is Akai. Despite what proof you may have, I just think that it's far too obvious and makes for a very boring plot development. (But then again, I'm a fan of the whole "Akai is dead and should stay dead" thing, so...)

aw man, we should be best friends. I like that theory too (though I also don't have proof to back it up, it's just something I'd like to see). and I also think Akai is dead and should stay dead! :/ (sorry, not that I hate him, but I hated how Arthur Conan Doyle brought Holmes back to life, and I'm a big fan of his!)

At the top of my head 2 really wild thoughts of which I don't think would need an own topic:

Scar Akai is Bourbon. He was shocked to see Okiya Subaru because despite the name being fake Okiya has HIS face as a disguise. He might (ust possibly) be the real Chris Vinyard, Vermouth's child, who was protected by her at the department store when she stopped between him and Gin.

Second, the tie-in story about the moving truck can be Shinichi relocates Akai to Osaka. The real tricky part is, if Okiya really has Bourbon's face, a confirmation can't be made since if he figures Akai moved, he can take his place at Shinichi's house.

Chris Vineyard and Sharon Vineyard are the same person; Jodie confirmed they have the same fingerprints. Also Vermouth stopped by at a different time than when scar Akai left the store. Correction. Vermouth was near Gin's Porsche but she was driving away at the time. Due to the orientation of Gin's Porsche, she would not have been blocking Gin's view of the department store. Also Okiya presumably only left later after the B.O. scrammed.
