Theory: New character Sera Masumi Is An FBI Agent

I really do like your theory Ezio. Sera might actually be a FBI member, and Sera resembles Akai quite well (especially when you compare their eyes). Maybe Sera is investigating Conan because she wants to see how good of a detective he is, and she probably wants to get information from him about Akai.

I wonder will Sera come across Kaito Kid... Or maybe Sera might soon learn more things about Shinichi (since one of the students at school said "The pride of our Teitan High School, He's a renowned Detective!")

Edit - Then again, Sera might not come across Kaito Kid since Heiji really hasn't come face to face with Kaito Kid before (only seem like Conan and Hakuba has).

If Sera was an FBI-Agent, then there is bound to be a gun or a knife somewhere, it is just mandatory... or stupid without.

The bomber case would be over by now if it was.

If Sera is an FBI agent, what is the importance of her presence?
I think there's already enough FBI agents in the series.
If Sera is Akai's sister, what is the importance of her presence?
Do Gosho try to make useless drama about a sister who is trying to find her lovely brother?
But it's possible, since there's some useless story such as Chiba's romance story.
If Sera is Bourbon, then she will have so many importance in the series.

unless the next climax will be the end, "useless" stories are something i have no problem with especially if they have a new recurring character in them ^^
and i like it that chiba gets someone too and doesn't remain the 5th wheel

It is not the whole thing of "SHE IS FBI." it is the fact that an FBI Agent would likely carry a weapon of some kind even if they were undercover'ish or a master of Jet Kuu Doo or whatever. The simple fact that you can either stab, shoot, or maim the bomber is enough.

Who's to say she doesn't have some sort of weapon?  The bomber didn't do a pat-down or anything.  Maybe she's got one and is just waiting to see if it'll be required...like if Conan fails.
Naw, I doubt she's FBI 'cause of her age, but I could see her doing free-lance-type work.  Like Shinichi, Heiji, Hakuba, KID (well, sorta), and...pretty much every high school age kid does in DC.  I guess they were too cool to join an after-school club...
