  But those rules are okay I guess... They guarantee I'll have something to check by Wednesday, though they don't guarantee anybody will win. But then again - it's KID and me you're fighting against so your chances are pretty slim anyway

My riddle: I am taken from a mine, and shut up in a wooden case, from which I am never released, and yet I am used by almost everybody.

If it's correct:
Once two painters have met two other painters. Each painter form first pair wanted to shake hands with each one from the second pair, but there was a problem: every painter had hands dirty with his own paint type and they didn't want to dirty hands with other people's paint.
However, they had two clean gloves (Gloves cannot be everted).
How can they solve this problem?

P.S Removed word 'rubber' from gloves description cause after some thought I found that this word could avert from the right answer

HERE'S MY RIDDLE'S ANSWER, LADIES AND DETECTIVES!

  Kaitou KID disguised himself as Kentaro Akito!! He's infiltrated Anegasaki Yusuke's mansion with the help of an evil mastermind, Kaiba Mokuba, also known as Edogawa4869! The high-tech Kaiba-blimp flew through the sky, undetected by no security systems. After getting into the mansion, KID learned that inspector Nakamori is in fact disguised meitantei Mouri Kogorou who was hired by Tanaka Shirou to find Kain, a vampiress that lurks in the mansion. Kogorou found her in the mansion's kitchen, where she, disguised as Tsukamoto Keiko, was stealing cookies. Kogorou joined her and they started to eat the cookies together. KID decided to take advantage of this fact and changed his disguise for Keiko's (he had planned to impersonate Akito in order to gain help from gullible Keiko, but since she turned out to be fake, there were no point to keep posing as Akito). Unfortunately KID has been spotted changing by Yoshimizu Outa - who turned out to be a member of Shounen Tantei Dan, detective c-square in disguise! He immediately started marking everybody's faces with blue or black dots while shouting something about Amy being a child prodigy. With everybody's faces marked, KID could disguise no more. He was in a pinch but then he revealed his trump card - he called the only person who could beat c-square's DotAttack, very famous and even more insane Blah! Breaking the mansion's walls, Blah arrived in a flying rollercoaster and took c-square away. Damn, he was so close to beating Kaitou KID! But then Anegasaki Ryouko arrived with her father, Anegasaki Yusuke, and it turned out they were really detective Satou and Ankor respectively! And they were in the Black Syndicate together! It could've been the end of Kaitou KID but then he revealed his true self! It was eworm all along and he left the mansion after frying everyone's brains. The end. I bet, you didn't deduce that!

  I advice reading this once again, after this day ends and users' names and characters' names are correct again.

Okay, so we have painters A1, A2, B1 and B2.  Couldn't painters A1 and A2 put on the gloves (one each), and then shake the hands of B1 and B2 without having to worry about paint contamination?  I'm assuming we're just talking about shaking right hands.

Okay, so we have painters A1, A2, B1 and B2.  Couldn't painters A1 and A2 put on the gloves (one each), and then shake the hands of B1 and B2 without having to worry about paint contamination?  I'm assuming we're just talking about shaking right hands.

with that method, when A1 shakes the hands of B1 and B2, B2 would be contaminated with B1's paint that's still on the glove.

However...

given that these are rubber gloves, they're "flat gloves", in that a single glove can be used on either the left or right hand (instead of gloves made for specific hands that have the thumb somewhat attached to the palm, like leather gloves)

so, painters A1 and A2 each put one glove on their right hand, and A1 shakes hands with B1, A2 shakes hands with B2. Now, if A1 and A2 take off their gloves, and switch the gloves to their left hands, the side of the glove that's in the palm of their hand will be clean (because it was the back of their right hand). So, A1 then shakes B2's hand and A2 shakes B1's hand.

Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story franchise, I don't know about You, but for me thumb would have touched the other side of the glove.

I think I've got it:

A1 puts on glove 1.  Glove 1 now has A1's paint on the inside.  A1 then puts glove 2 on over glove 1.  He then shakes B1's hand.  Glove 2 now has B1's paint on the outside.  A1 then takes off glove 2 and gives it to A2, who puts it on.  Glove 2 now has A2's paint on the inside.  A2 then shakes B1's hand with glove 2, which already has B1's paint on the outside.

So, so far, B1 has shaken both A1 and A2's hand.  Now, A1 shakes B2's hand.  Glove 1 now has B2's paint on the outside.  Then, A1 takes off glove 1 and gives it to A2, who puts glove 1 on over glove 2.  A2 can now shake B2's hand, since glove 1 already has B2's paint on the outside.
