I thought the story was that there was a real silver-haired serial killer. I am under the impression that Akai's job was to track down the real serial killer, but Vermouth found him first, killed him, and then disguised as the guy with the goal of catching Akai off guard and killing him, then ditching the body of the serial killer so it looks like Akai died in a firefight with the serial killer. Akai was clever and managed to wound Vermouth anyway so the plan to kill Akai failed, but she dumped the serial killer's body so that it seemed like he committed suicide...

Right, there was a real silver-haired serial killer.  I'm not convinced that Vermouth found and killed him before disguising as him (she would have had to hide the body somewhere, then drag it out again, which would leave signs of the body having been moved)  but your story sounds plausible.

Maybe she kept tabs on him or kept him locked in a basement somewhere until she needed to do him in. In any case, she didn't do a good job of placing all the blame on him because apparently the fingerprints and the bloodstains all disappeared...

As you all know, the BO member's codenames are all named after different types of alcohol so I'm guessing the boss must have a lot of knowledge/interest on alcohol and the only person I could think of is Shiratori (the guy who likes Sato) because in OVA 2 he said that he is very interested in wine/alcohol or something and owns alot so yea....and you know there's now a new member under the codename Irish? Maybe thats him.....i dont know...this is just my theory

My former hunch was the Original Kaito Kid but after reading the arguments in this thread I realize is very unlikely but not impossible... I don't know much about Haibara's parents (if they are still alive / dead already / pretending to be dead) so I can't say if one of them can be a candidate of being the BO boss. However, if I remember correctly, in one DC episode, Haibara's mom description is pretty suspicious (for me)...

Whoever the BO boss, I hope it would be a greater shocker than Sousuke Aizen Revelation (Bleach) and Rob Lucci Revelation (One Piece)....
