Re: Kogorous Riddle/Deduction Thread
A joke rather than a riddle. Okay, here's the riddle you've been waiting for! Prepare to have your brain fried ;D
Professor Kentaro Akihisa's funeral was almost there and so his son, Akito, along with some friends were packing his belongings. It was to be decided later what to do with them. Each of them was assigned to a different room, Akito working in the biggest one, where his father had worked. All the rooms were connected to a hallway and had no connection between themselves, so when one of Akito's friend were going to him to ask "What to do with this thing?" or something, they didn't go through any of the rooms the others were working in.
Guess who arrived after some time? Yes, Akito's fellow ex-assistants, Mariya Yuki and Tsukamoto Keiko. When it finally stopped raining they decided to come to help - and knowing more or less what to do with prof's documents and papers, they worked in the same room as Akito. The atmosphere was kinda uncomfortable though - Keiko had heard detective Takagi's deduction and Akito knew about it. Yuki seemed to have fun watching them totally embarrassed. Finally she whispered "Good luck" to Keiko and left the room saying she had left something in her car.
The two were left alone. Akito was already opening his mouth when Keiko made an excuse too and left. She checked on everybody and exchanged a few words with each of Akito's friends before going outside. There she met with Yuki, who scolded her for being such a coward. After talking a while they both returned to Akito - only to find him unconscious on the floor, bleeding. He was shot from a close distance, the weapon left at the scene. The gun had a silencer but no fingerprints were found. The window was open. Yuki alarmed everybody while Keiko called an ambulance and police.
Luckily, Akito survived and is now in stable condition in a hospital. He remains unconscious so he can't tell what he wanted to say by leaving a message - he painted a symbol with his blood. It looked like a zigzag, something similar to this -> /\/\/. Akito also tightly held the paper he had taken from his father's body, the one with "Tsukamoto Keiko" written on it.
Here's what we know about Akito's three friends:
1. Tanaka Shirou (male) - a long time friend of Akito. He's an electrician. Despite being an adult, he still watches some anime, his favourite being Meitantei Conan of course. Also, he's a good cook.
2. Anegasaki Ryouko (female) - Akito's osananajimi*. She used to be a nurse but now she's just a shop clerk. Even though she tends to be broke all the time, Ryouko is always very cheerful. She's kind of a tomboy and loves hiking.
3. Yoshimizu Outa (male) - not very sociable, "the dark type". He was professor Kentaro's assistant before but resigned and that's how Keiko got the job. Outa likes fishing, reading sci-fi and he smokes an awful lot.
Detective Takagi deduces right away who shot Akito. He searches the person and finds a proof supporting his theory. Who did it, what did the message mean and what "proof" was it? PM me your answers, brave detectives!
*osananajimi - childhood friend. You know the type.
Riddle #02
I heavily advice to read the previous riddle and the answer to it, before getting to this one. First - it may come in handy. Two - as it's the continuation, there are spoilers for the first riddle ahead. Also expect some red herrings again - unimportant info.

Re: Kogorous Riddle/Deduction Thread
So... is Kogorou the only person who's going to have a brain fried... I mean - try to solve the riddle?
a) the culprit's identity
b) the message's meaning
c) the proof Takagi found
and if you want, you can describe what exactly happened (you may find it necessary)
Also, in this riddle, unlike how it went with the first one, there is actually no way to eliminate the wrong answers. Takagi could be sure because he checked for a proof for his deduction and found it. But for you, who have yet to deduce what the proof was, it seems impossible. So let me give you an additional hint: the correct answer involves the fact that it rained in the morning that day somehow! So if you ignore this fact in your deduction, it's not valid.
I think I helped you too much now... maybe I should accept a max of 2 or 3 deductions from one person now?
Come, brave detectives! Do not let the second riddle go unsolved!
Important information!
Your answer shall consist of at least three things:a) the culprit's identity
b) the message's meaning
c) the proof Takagi found

Re: Kogorous Riddle/Deduction Thread
Well, close distance doesn't necessarily mean that the gun was touching Akito's body. It would have been a lot more difficult for him to survive then.
For this riddle - no questions. You send me a deduction with everything you think could happen - and then I tell you if it's correct or not. This riddle is too easy to just answer every question you'd think of. Seriously. I'll have to think of something more like the first one the next time.
