Re: "Mafia Round 21," or, "Boom With A View!" (Night 4)
End of Night 4
On our last episode, our heroes' numbers were severely reduced thanks to a sudden aerial appearance by xpon and Sherlock3's Fearless Leader. Today, they can only hope that they don't attract more unwanted attention as they climb the slopes of Mt. Flatten.
Prof: You know, I've been wondering about those weird floating rocks.
pofa: I've been trying not to wonder about them.
Prof: What are they? I guess they're what's holding the mountain up, but I've never heard of this sort of thing anywhere else.
pofa: You know, I think I remember Uncle Dewlap talking about something like this, though.
Prof: So you remember him now?
pofa: He said he used to mine for a mineral called Upsidaisium.
Prof: So that's the mine you're inheriting? Why didn't you say so before?
pofa: Laziness of the writers, probably.
Little did our heroes know that those dastardly fiends xpon and Sherlock3 were sneaking through the underbrush well within earshot. At the mention of Upsidaisium xpon stopped short.
xpon: Upsidaisium!
Sherlock3: What does that mean, darling?
xpon: I have no idea, but is always good idea to steal first and ask questions later.
Sherlock3: But darling, what will Fearless Leader do with floating rocks?
Eve: *suddenly appearing behind them* I tell you what we use them for. Storage, that is what. We are running out of space in fatherland. Besides which I want floating car.
xpon: But Leader, already you have helicopter.
Eve: Many people have helicopter. Is nothing special.
Sherlock3: But floating car, will it not be a nuisance?
Eve: Get me this Upsidaisium mine, you both.
xpon: Y--yes sir!
As Eve disappeared into the forest, the travelers discussed their own possible uses for Upsidaisium.
Schillok: Maybe we should tell the authorities about this.
CaseClosed101: Are you kidding? We inherited.
Xcommando: I know what I could do with it.
Rachzzzz: *daydreams of floating*
miikosan: Hey, why don't we just find some and use them to float to the top?
Detective Tommy: Last time we did that, two people died.
hopeless: Yeah, let's not have a repeat of that.
Kleene: I bet you could use it for storage. :3 Furniture and things.
breva: Hey, yeah!
Parkur: Too much trouble.
Kirbypepe: *looks behind them*
Kain: It's awfully quiet around here.
Holmes: Well, nobody's chewing anymore.
Edo: There probably aren't animals here.
Meme: ...I saw a cat.
miakakiri:
Where?
Meanwhile, xpon and Sherlock3, determined to squeeze a sinister plot into each episode, had bolted up the path ahead of our heroes. They now stood behind a large boulder, pushing with all their might.
Sherlock3: Darling, this seems a bit rushed.
xpon: Sometimes simple is best, my sweet.
Well, he was right. The boulder sped downhill, and everyone leaped out of the way. Everyone, that is, except CTU (Kazuha), who was completely flattened.
CTU: Aaaaiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!.....
As our heroes stared after the boulder as it rolled away with the body, a small slip of paper blew back up the trail toward them.
No one seemed to know what to make of it. Then suddenly everyone became aware that Dus was in considerable distress.
Dus: *takes drink from hip flask, finds it empty* *&$%! Hey, listen. Somebody...somebody...SOMEBODY ARREST ME! FOR GOD'S SAKE! I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE! IT'S NOT SAFE HERE! AAAAAAAAAABS.!
And as Dus ran down the mountain looking for the Mountie, one of the traveling police officers obliged him, and he was arrested.
pofa: You know, this seems to be happening with unnatural frequency.
Prof: Pressure of success, I guess...
Well, what now? How many of our heroes will actually make it to the top of Mt. Flatten? What sinister plots will xpon and Sherlock3 devise next? Find out on our next episode, "End of Day 4," or, "The Brave and the Boulder!"

Eh, Night 2. Sorry. I mean the night where Yusaku used his ability and received the list of 5 players that were possible killers.
