I'm so hot. No, I'm not being narcissistic here. Okay maybe a little… However, I'm also talking about the temperature in this building! How am I supposed to work in these conditions? The AC has been out for five grueling hours and I feel as if I just walked into a sauna! It's so hot I can't even feel the tea-coffee mixture I'm drinking go down my throat. I need to go out sometime later. Hmm… speaking of going out… no Chekhov stop it, you're at work and there's no way you're going to leave the office until you finish everything. I can hear Akonyl going on about his convulated conspiracy theories, PhoenixTears telling him to shut up, Parkur ranting about how he's late for his date and Hopeless being sarcastic about everything as they exit the building but that doesn't get under my skin, it's that hot. Kleene, my secretary has already left, but I just…

"Chek-chan, earth to Chek-chan", Kleene is sitting on my desk chewing a... what is that? A riceball? I was thinking so hard that I didn't even see her walk back in. I must have been staring into the depths of her eyes for a little while longer than necessary because before I knew it her face was no more than an inch away from mine.

"Chek-chan, what are you still doing here, its 11:30!" She says to me in a scolding tone. Oh, goodness, just as I thought this day couldn't get any worse. Now I have to deal with my cheery secretary. I just want to go home…

"Oh, I was doing paperwork", I lie but she looks down at my desk and sees the same sight I do. All of my paperwork lays unfinished, no, untouched on my desk. "Anyways, what are you doing here?" I ask her trying to divert her attention. She just raises an eyebrow at me and giggles.

"Well, I called your cell and your home phone but no-one answered so using my awesome deductive powers I concluded that you were here. I was going to ask if you had dinner plans." I sit back stunned. Kleene, of all people, was going to ask me out, wait, technically didn't she just do so? I know my face must be ten shades of red (heat plus embarrassment) but I still keep my cool, or at least try to. What the hell is happening, my world is too fast-paced I can't keep up. And now a girl's asking me out. Great… what day is it today anyway?

"I can eat", I say. I was about to add another sarcastic remark, but her smile caught me off-guard. "But I guess… I can eat with someone for a change. "

Uh-oh. I'm in for one hell of a night. And no, what I'm thinking is not what you're thinking.

Oh, and I forgot it's Valentine's Day :V
