End of Day 2
In our last episode, the traveling heirs to the mine on Mt. Flatten were robbed of several members of their group by the sinister scheming of xpon and Sherlock3. Not only that, but their only hope of actually making it up to the mountain seems to have disappeared.
Prof: So there’s no real elevator.
pofa: Then how do we get to the mountain?
Prof: Hey, you. Are you sure you didn’t know that elevator was fake before you—where’d he go?
pofa: They’re both gone.
And sure enough, xpon and Sherlock3 were nowhere to be seen. Had our heroes simply looked up, however, they would have seen the two fiends high above them, already involved in another evil plot.
Sherlock3: This is perfect, darling. We beat others to mountain for sure.
xpon: You thinking too small. We not only beat them, they never get here at all!
Sherlock: How is that?
xpon: Meh-heh-heh! Because we take here away with us!
Sherlock3: You mean…
xpon: Yes! We steal mountain right from over their noses!
Back on the ground, the travelers were deep in discussion about their prospects.
Schillok: We should find a way to send a message up there.
Kleene: How? :V I don’t know a phone number.
CaseClosed101: I could have just left my phone on the bus.
Detective Tommy: You think they’d hear us if we yell?
Holmes: Anyone want something to eat?
Xcommando: How did I end up carrying all the suitcases?
CTU: I’ll have some beef jerky.
miikosan: IT’S TOO HOT.
Rachzzzz: *fans self*
Meme: …Has anyone seen Yurikochan?

Dus: Doubt that.
But in a manner of speaking it was true, for Yurikochan was now chained up in the same place as Akonyl, victim of another makeshift arrest.
Meanwhile, unnoticed by the travelers below, xpon pulled the aircraft up to the side of Mt. Flatten, while Sherlock3 let loose a grappling hook with perfect accuracy.
Sherlock3: Drive, darling! Drive!
And so xpon drove the helicopter straight forward, intending to tow Mt. Flatten away with it However, both fiends had underestimated the weight of the mountain and overestimated the strength of the rope.
The rope snapped in two, the helicopter shot forward, and the grappling hook plummeted thirty feet—
shihokudo: All right, if you guys say so I’ll go stand under the mountain and yell. Though I think this is stupid.
--and impaled shihokudo (Eisuke) where she stood.
Prof: O.O What are the odds of that?
pofa: Hey, guys, I found a weird rock.
Fixated on the remains of shihokudo, no one noticed pofa pulling a strange hunk of mineral out of the ground—that is, until she started floating upward.
pofa: Hey!
Prof: Pofa!
Without thinking, Prof picked up another hunk of mineral, and within seconds he too was falling upward toward the mountain.
pofa: Hey, guys! Grab onto the rocks!
The group exchanged looks, but no one had a better idea, so the remaining travelers searched the ground for fragments of the same mineral and held on tight. Soon the air was full of upwardly-mobile passengers.
Prof: All you have to do is let go when we get to the mountain!
pofa: How nifty!
And within a few minutes all the travelers had landed safely on the slopes of Mt. Flatten—all of them, that is, except two.
PhoenixTears: Yaaaaah! Not good!
Mystery_Angel: Oh no way!!
It seemed that someone had coated their rocks with glue, so that they were unable to let go. As the grounded travelers watched, PhoenixTears (Sonoko) and Mystery_Angel (Yusaku) floated up and out of sight, never to be seen again. The only sign that they had ever been there at all was a small scrap of paper that fell out of Mystery_angel’s pocket and drifted down to Mt. Flatten:
