just wondering because i'm a clueless freak..
when you want to ally with ppl...
do you just pm them like: "i got this info, what do you have?"
or how do you do it?

People do it differently. And it also kinda depends what role you got and which side you're on of course

I for example usually ask: "Want an alliance?" and don't say any info yet.
If I can investigate or have an ability that can't narrow you down, I sometimes say that I can investigate or do another ability. Tho I don't do that so much anymore since people don't want an alliance with me. Which means I gave them info without getting anything back :x

There are some "types" (this is exaggerated a lot :x)

"Ally me! Or die!" - type:

Because either I was BO, you were BO or I was killed right at the start.



Finally, the item issue once more: I don't think that items had made trouble so far. Yeah, we could remove the alcohol from Heiji without much of a consequence (Though, I think it is funny how quickly Heiji gets poisoned if he is not careful. Following Shinichis downfall. ). Which is why I don't want to give Takagi glasses, since they are mainly unnecessary. If Korn told a townie that he can stake out (and can not go back to claim Jodie later) AND got an alcohol stolen from him... well, I think it is fair that the town can then lynch him. (Beside, being a sniper and everything he would even injure someone. And KID is probably as good as dead as well, since the BO has to know at that point that the town contact and KID were in close connection to each other.)
I don't think giving Takagi an unreasonable item is worth it.


But it is your time to GM, so if you think it will matter... change it. I just hope the next GM will not just keep it that way. I don't want having to imagine Takagi wearing glasses.

But it's still easier and less de-balancing other characters if you give him glasses. I don't see a problem here game wise. It's just that you don't like it because it's not "canon". But you also argued with other things before, that not everything has to be 100% canon.
