Hey now, are you dissing 72 degrees? 72's also what I'm most used to, as it's the default room temperature around where I live.bluekaitou1412 wrote:You can live with that?Jd- wrote: My dad has a terrible habit of setting the thermostat to "OMFG, IT FEELS LIKE THE SUN IN HERE."

I sometimes wonder why I even know how to convert between Fahrenheit and Celsius, it's pretty much only you people from the USA who use that stupid scale.Akonyl wrote:Hey now, are you dissing 72 degrees? 72's also what I'm most used to, as it's the default room temperature around where I live.

But I have to admit that anything <= 22°C is nice.

So how about we throw my dad out of his own house? It's got AC inside, a pool outside, we can barbecue, and the list goes on!

To me cold>hot any day. And I agree 72F is about right, sadly outside temp is always in the 100's thanks to the awesome weather in Texas. Thankfully I have found the ice rink to be a nice place to hang out haha.

Re: It is TOO HOT!!!
when it comes to hot versus cold, I can't really ever choose which I like more
freezing weather is worse to be in than hot weather imo, however hot weather makes you sweaty so the effects of it stay around even when you're no longer outside.
but I suppose I would say cold is best. I mean, you can put on as many layers of clothing as you like to combat the cold, but when it comes to heat, you can only take off so much.

True about the clothing lol, I play hockey almost everyday so I'm used to the cold for the most part (at least "texas cold, it never really drops below 10F on a REALLY cold winter). Because of this all my friends who are used to it always being 90+ think im crazy wearing jeans and a t-shirt in the middle of winter lol.

Eh, the thermostat was kind of stuck on that at my house before we got the AC.Jd- wrote: My dad has a terrible habit of setting the thermostat to "OMFG, IT FEELS LIKE THE SUN IN HERE."

72F is work temperature, roughly. The thermostat on my side of the shop is set to a range of about 68F-71F, year round. Mostly because I work in a spa. (I'm a massage therapist.)
13C-21C is....*runs a converter*....that's about 55F to 70 F, right? Sounds like mid-to-late spring or early-to-mid autumn up here. Perfectly comfortable. I have no idea what you're complaining about. I'm looking forward to October (and not just because of my anniversary).Yardbird wrote: Personally, i think you haven't a thing to complain about... here's cooooold!!!! hate cold!

I'm not quite looking forward to winter, yet. My husband is, though. He likes the cold. I prefer warmth myself, so when even I say it's too hot, it's REALLY too hot.
I live in New England (NH, specificly) so we have a good mix of seasons. Winters do get pretty cold. Come November, the thermometer won't get above 40F very often. Even less so in December. We usually get a bit of a thaw in January, but it still won't get more than about 50F until about the end of March. Well, normally. As for cold....I know we'll usually get negative temperatures at least a couple times each winter, and we normally get plenty of snow! *^_^* Great for building snowmen, and very pretty on the trees, but not as nice when you have to dig your car out. Same with ice storms. I both love and hate ice storms. I love them because the world becomes encased in sparkling crystal that glitters in the light of sun or moon, but I hate them because of what they do to the roads and the power lines. Last winter we had lots of major power outages--some lasting a week or more in particular areas--due to snow and ice storms.
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

I've been gipped on the snow here for the past few years, so I am jealous. Our winters have been just as cold, but we just don't get any snow to compensate for it.miakakiri wrote: and we normally get plenty of snow! *^_^*

Re: It is TOO HOT!!!
Wahhh we actually had a HUGE snow storm (in a Washington State resident point of view) last year.... Urgh... it was nice when i get to get out there and make a sculpture, it was nice sliding down hills and stuff... but having to drive in the snow...horrible... even with four wheel drive.... Urgh.... Not to mention having to scoop the snow out of your from step to get to your car... *horrified* I hope it won't be like that this year... (though I'd want to go on this year ski trip.... hmmm... )Akonyl wrote:I've been gipped on the snow here for the past few years, so I am jealous. Maybe I'm weird, but when the whether is hot, I just have to keep calm and I won't sweat or really feel hot ... thus Hot over cold...

Hmmm... well... yeah... it's probably not that since I can sweat standing outside in the freezing cold if something agitated me also....Akonyl wrote:I tend to have the cold hands thing also, so I doubt that has anythin to do with your whole sweat controlling thingKhinkhun wrote:Yeah...
