@sherry: No, she wasn't introduced in order to have a teenager on the BO side. But it was a nice after effect :3
But you can keep sherry actually. Ai and sherry can't be in the same game. But if there are more BO roles without a scent, then Ai would be "useless" (or more useless.) So Sherry  can be put in then.
But that would mean a lot of extra rules to know when etc. :V


Handcuffs wouldn't be such a problem. True. So, all police + FBI? Maybe even Kogoro, since he's an ex-police? (would solve the "problem" with just 1 item). Hakuba? The serial killer. And would some BOs get it too? Vermy? :x


That serial killer would be on town-side then?

Well, it doesn't really make sense to me if both Sherry and Ai are in the same game anyway, since they're the same person. But even if we forget about that, why would putting more BO roles without a scent solve the problem?

I don't think I've seen Kogoro with handcuffs and I doubt that they'd let him keep his old ones. I can see Gin having a pair, for some reason, even though there's no logical reason why he'd have them. Vermy, I think should only have it when she's disguised as someone who does. Hakuba, I need someone to confirm that he has a pair to catch KID with.

I see the serial killer as being not BO. Though, not necessarily on the town's side, either. Basically watching out for himself/herself?

As soon as I see people having handcuffs without a logical reason my mind makes up one for them and it aint pretty :-X

Suggested changes:

1) Auto-Arrest
If a House Search finds a crime, the target is automatically arrested.  This Auto-Arrest is a freebie in conjunction with the House Search.  If the House Search does not happen, the Auto-Arrest does not happen. An Auto-Arrest will not automatically happen in case a crime is discovered by an investigate action, even if the one investigating is a police officer.
If Nakamori uses face-pinching on a disguised character, the target is automatically arrested. This Auto-Arrest is a freebie in conjunction with the face pinching.

- I think it makes sense if Nakamori tries to arrest as soon as he finds a disguised target. It also might make Kid think twice trying to get in contact with a police officer if he knows his arch-enemy could arrest him by chance...


2) Crime: Killing
It was suggested to change the "killing" to "attacking". So when a killing fails, because its target was saved somehow, the attacker can still be arrested and an investigation will give the correct result.

- Actually, I thought it was already this way. Unless the killer was discombobulated (in which case the action failed, meaning you can't be arrested for it and it can't be investigated), "killing" and "attacking" are synonymous.


3)New ability for: Korn, Mafia Sniper & Vodka, Mafia Intimidator

I think those two roles are a bit underwhelming at the moment. So to make them a bit stronger I would suggest the following new ability for both of them (which they can use together with their other ability). Well, actually it is not new: It is just a reverse form of Kir's Betrayal.

Betrayal/Reverse Betrayal/Watching
- Role with that action: Korn, Vodka
- Night action, can be covered
- If he decides to use betrayal, he randomly get's to know one activity of the town that was done on that night.
- He will only know which role performed the action, not the target


So it would be another way for the BO to collect "names". The later the game gets, the more powerful it becomes. Considering both roles have no "natural protection" against being exposed they have a harder time reaching the late game anyway.
Also, it has some synergy with their other abilities. Vodka will know that the player he discombobulated is NOT the role he just learned and Korn might have found the role he found by stake-out.
Of course this new ability might leave Bourbon less useful now... On the other hand, it is random and not able to find day-only roles.


4) Night/Day action: Pinch Face

Suggested to make it a night-action only. And add auto-arrest to it when it finds a disguised target (since Nakamori will be able to arrest the next phase anyway, which could not be hindered in any way.)


5) Friends, lovers, Detective Boys

The DB can now also be alone. So there could be only Ayumi, only Mitsuhiko or only Genta in the game. (This would remove the "there will be at least 2 DBs in the game clause".)
In this case the single Detective Boy will not form a group, and is therefore a legal target for lovers or friends.

The ranking would still be:
Detective Boys > Friends > Lovers
(If there are two detective boys, neither will be able to become Sonokos friend or a lover. Sonoko or her friend are not able to become lovers (unless Sonoko fails to find a friend).


6) Give Gem

To make Jirokichi a bit more independent from Nakamori, I would suggest he gets in contact with a (random) other police in case Nakamori is not in the game (or was killed/arrested) when one of the games he gave out was stolen.
Furthermore, I suggest he gets in contact with the police if one of his own gems gets stolen as well.
In case the police officer he is in contact with dies/is arrested, Jirokichi will get in contact with another officer as soon as the next gem is stolen.


7) Betrayal

Change the list of things that can be found out with betrayal (and reverse betrayal).
I suggest everything can be found out except:
- actions bestowed by a disguise
- actions bestowed by a item (Bow-Tie, Black Suitcase)
- actions bestowed by copying another characters ability (Sonoko, Calvados)

But clarifying it would be good. Tho a tricked killing should be still "no killing/action done", since it's written in the tricking rules like that.

Sounds good :) But I don't know if Vodka needs that. And Korn is good too. But it wouldn't hurt giving them that ability.
Would be also investigated like the betrayal from Kir, right? So, same Keyword for that action.

Well, Bourbon can track down a certain player + look for a certain role in the game. While that ability is more random. So Bourbon wouldn't get useless :3


4) Night/Day action: Pinch Face
If the auto-arrest is implemented, then Nakamori would have to watch out anyway. Dunno :V


5) Friends, lovers, Detective Boys
I like that too :3 Well, I don't mind either way.


6) Give Gem

I dunno :V There was also a different suggestion of bribing the BO with a Gem.
If he can get in contact with a police over and over again, it could make him too strong maybe. But for that he needs to be stolen from. So hm...


7) Betrayal

But it will still not reveal the target? (like who was slandered)

And for Kir, basically Kir can additionally find out that anokata used Bribe then? Or will she know another ability that wasn't shown before?
Also, in case vodka and Korn get that reverse betrayal, she will know which one did it (since before, every BO had a different ability)

As for Vodka, I understand your point, Schillok, but I don't know if it's entirely on the mark.  When his abilities are used properly, it can be pretty devastating to the town (see Round 13...).  However, I don't have a problem with adding an ability for him.
