In episode 153, according to Sonoko, all the guys have been hitting on Ran. So I would think that its safe to say that many guys like Ran.

Right. But I thought that there is another chara who loves her.

The only characters I can think of who like Ran that have appeared on more than one episode would be Eisuke and Araide.
Eisuke's love for Ran is made explicit. I'm on the fence about Dr. Araide.

OVA 9 is a result of Conan's imagination.  Real Araid never proposed to real Ran.  Real Ran only likes real Araid's sweater xD.

Not to mention Conan is paranoid when it comes to these things.  He was jealous of that Karate Champ guy (who has a girlfriend), the singer, that 7 year old kid, Eisuke (which made sense after Eisuke told him about his feelings), and etc...

Okay who said here Heiji is "okay" when he's being a jerk?  He's the guy that basically said "yeah all MASTERS will feel uncomfortable if their LITTLE FOLLOWER follows someone else" (insert massive facepalm here).  Basically Heiji is an idiot when it comes to these things, not to mention he always solves the case slower the Shinichi unless they're solving it together (FOIL anyone?).  

The reason why Heiji is never mentioned in THIS CURRENT THREAD is because this thread is about Shinichi x Ai and to an extent Shinichi x Ran.  Sure we can mention how Kazuha and Satou and Sonoko and even Haibara are just like Ran when blah blah blah everytime we talk about Ran but wouldn't just that result in bigger wall-o-text then we already have?  Last time I check not everyone has the time to read through all that (it would be interesting though).

So really it's not like "nobody ever says blah blah in this forum" it's just that they didn't mention it here at this time on this certain thread because it's not the topic at the moment.  I'm sure it's mentioned on a different thread elsewhere.

Not here. I just know a lot of people who seem to have this kind of opinion- this is why I asked "Can somebody explain this to me...?" I found it a bit... hard to title Conan as a "shame of the male species" and wanted to point out that he´s not the only one doing those things. Is there something wrong with that...? I know I sometimes phrase things a little too harsh, but that doesn´t mean I´m upset that nobody has mentioned Heiji before, I wanted to bring him in the discussion. Sorry if I didn´t make that clear (?).

Does anyone find Ran's interest in guys to be...kinda...non-existant?  I mean Shinichi will at least check out hot girls (even when he's on the phone with her as Conan LOL).  The last time I remember her showing a interest in a guy is the singer and the karate champ.  Both of which likes someone else and she doesn't even LIKE that way.  

Hm, it´s true. Well she is the faihful and totally loyal girl who waits for and already have a Price Charming. Why should she look out for other boys? 
It´s uncommon cause a girl would be maybe more like Sonoko who has a boyfriend but still looks at what the world "could" offer to her.
It´s kinda boring actually: A Men who she showed some real interest into, who could be a real rival to Conan/Shinichi and not some dayfly would give a bit pepper in her relationship. XD

I mean for Conan/Shinichi we "have" Ai, meaning some of us could thinks of them as a couple. But for Ran we have nobody. Kinda unfair. XP

Maybe it´s really time that we talk about the guy which both girl (in Ai case maybe?) fell in love. So Heiji (or Kaito) would be a good basis point to begin with. 
I think that Kudo does check the feelings of the girls, he only doesn´t get it when they have affection towards him until they showed him clearly like Ran with her "confession" or Ayumi with her kiss and thougts about marriage. If Ai really loves Conan/Shinichi we can be almost sure to see something or to read something that will clearly stand that fact. 8)
To be honest, i think that Heiji stands more on the pipe than Shinichi. XD

You know, maybe Ran's character really is a stereotypical Libran.  Librans are known to be loyal and all that.  Getting right down to it...I'm a bit like Ran in that regard when it comes to guys.  My interest in guys may come across as "non-existent", and if a guy does come along, more than likely, he's done something to cause admiration, not a romantic liking.  I guess until she knows there's no hope with Shinichi, she'll never let go.  She may view other guys in a "new light" once she does "let go".

Erm...in ref to Conan x Ai...um...I still like that pair... lol  Like Shinichi x Ran too.

but in this file her personality and attitude just like took a huge jump, and that felt really unnatural and weird to me.

i don't think it was that unnatural,cause she shows a gradual interest in soccer (especially on higo) in vol 34(when she was on the side of higo) and vol55(she looks even more interested to the match) so it's not so weird for me,on the contrary!
it's normal that when people you are close like something,you show some interest to that thing

Yeah, that was a cute moment. 
But Ai didn´t really criticize Conan in Vol. 34, she just didn´t like it, that he could see thourgh her.^^
At that time she was already a fan of football, but after 34 she got a favorite team "Big Osaka" cause of Higo. 
Remember the time when she came with the DBs and Conan to the parade of the Tokyo Spirits, but her answer to Conas question (cause she´s a Big Osaka fan) was: "I´m here to put a curse on them..."

Nah, don´t think it was so sudden. Ai just gets more and more used to her peaceful life, so it isn´t that weird when she´s surprised about something "normal". Well we find it weird cause Ai isn´t your normal elementary school girl, but an ex-criminal mad sientist from the BO. We don´t expect her to care that much about sports, soccer or some football player.
But it´s a nice change in her personality, gives some kind of fresh wind. Now the BO,her sister, Agasa, the DBs or Conan aren´t the only things she care about. 

But you´re right Rellik. Her face was so "innocent" surprised (ans also so kawaii!  ) and it really didn´t fit the Ai Haibara we know. XD

i don't think it was that unnatural,cause she shows a gradual interest in soccer (especially on higo) in vol 34(when she was on the side of higo) and vol55(she looks even more interested to the match) so it's not so weird for me,on the contrary!
