I thought they said Sharon had hidden her "daughter" from the press when she was still young, so people only saw Chris when she had become an adult? That way, Sharon didn't have to have a child as she was "hiding" her (read: the daughter just didn't exist yet), until the moment she needed a new identity for some reason. Then "Chris" revealed herself (read: Sharon got a younger body somehow) and claimed she's Sharon's daughter in order not to raise suspicions, because Chris externally looks a lot like Sharon.

Remember, it was never mentioned whether Sharon and Chris have ever appeared together in public, neither was it mentioned if Sharon still did appear in public after Chris revealed herself. And I don't think plastic surgery made her look younger. It seems  more like her whole body got several decennia younger, since Vermouth is quite agile in my opinion. The reason for that I'll leave aside, I only hope Gosho will give us a decent reason when it really is because of an early version of APTX. Well, if it isn't I hope he'll give he decent reason too.

well, i got confused about the different theories and opinions on this thread, but thanks to the post of kite.. it shed some light about the issue. i certainly agree to kite.

i would just like to add that for me, vermouth didn't took the drug which sherry made... she is just using her skills in disguising to look younger. hehe. i think vermouth has the same age with yukiko..

I just always assumed Sharon is the same person as Chris. I thought that was a clear implication due to the fingerprints.

I have the same thoughts as Kite. However (I don't mean to digress, really)... Yukiko doesn't seem to get older, either. Neither does Eri. Honestly... for women in their forties, they look really young. On the other hand, Vermouth looks like she's in her twenties still.

Aoyama-sensei is really intricate with plots, so I'm sure he has a perfectly good (or at least an acceptable) explanation.

Hopefully it's not too late to throw my two cents in, but I've been wondering about this lately. I have kind of a crazy theory that I haven't seen anywhere before: Sharon’s immortal because she secretly found and used Pandora.

I don't think they've given us an exact timeframe for when Sharon and Yukiko were apprenticed to Toichi, but it should be a little more than 20 years ago (based on the death of Jodie's father, committed by a disguised Sharon). Two years after that (18 years before the start of the series), Kaitou Kid first appears, in Paris. He's active for ten years before he's killed (by some organization, for this argument, I'm assuming that Magic Kaito's shady organization=Black Org) over Pandora.

Now, we know that he meets with Yukiko two years before he's killed, and he's not the most crafty person in the world at hiding his secret identity. A more suspicious person—say, someone with the Black Org—could put “Magician and Master of Disguise Dressed in Whiteâ€

I'm pretty sure that it was about 17 years ago that Yukiko and Sharon learned how to disguise because Yukiko said she learned when she was just beginning as an actress, which was when she was 20.

Isn't Shinichi about 17? I thought her popularity would need to be a little before he was born. This was so confusing to do because I couldn't find Yukiko or Sharon's ages...

Sharon Vineyard faked her own death so that no one would notice that she never ages.

I always found that a little weird.  I mean, yes, I understand what they're getting at, but seriously, NO ONE in the DC universe ever ages.

yeah, it's a little silly but hey, people aged before the show started.

anyway, from what it looks like in the anime, sharon just never had a daughter, and just claimed to have one. This way, she could fake her own death, and then through the wonders of plastic surgery, become the "daughter" that everyone thought she had. Or maybe she did have a daughter at one point, but killed her. As for her not aging, sharon would still be under 50 years old, so it's still possible that she's actually 40 or whatever the timeline would say but just has a massive amount of cosmetic surgery. After all, we haven't seen her do much more than ride motorcycles, shoot guns and play darts, so she could still have the physical ability of a grandma for all I know.

Well, if I have to take a guess at Yukiko's age, I would say 36-38. I base this from episode 333. Twenty years ago was Miss Teitan so she must've been 16-18 years old twenty years ago. Now, I wouldn't know anything about Sharon's age.

Anyways, I think it's clear that Sharon=Chris. How she managed to live a double life may forever remain a mystery.
