Although I am trying to keep my hopes down I am really looking forward to it.

I have never watched this cartoon. Somehow the news does not make me want to give it a try... It has some off putting cliche aspects to it...

Watch it... It is an EXCELLENT cartoon... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417299/ <-- 9.3 on IMDB... I mean... really... can almost 15000 people be wrong?

Great action sequences, with good comedy, a pretty decent plot, and a really creative universe.

Can't go wrong in my opinion. This coming from someone who was highly skeptical until he saw a clip of one of the action sequences and only started watching because he recognized the TaiChi, Baguazhang and Northern Shaolin movements. After which I decided to watch it, and catch up. By the first season finale I was hooked.

For the record, I heard the plot, and knew the premise and thought it was cliched as well, but I was very wrong.

Got to agree with you here. I started watching it like I watch pokemon, meaning I have it on in the background while I do stuff. But that didn't work out with Avatar. I really love this series.

I'm curious. Which one is peoples favourite character? I like them all but I like Iroh above all else, had I only been twenty years older... :P

Hmmm, hard question!

I can relate myself the most to Zuko, but I'd like to have a buddy like Toph.  ;D

So, you were thrown out by your father? Or more specifically, you were thrown by your father into a time machine and forced you to go back in time? ::)

Favorite character is tough.... It really depends on the season for me...

Season 1 is Iroh with out a doubt...

Season 2 is Toph... Though I still liked Iroh, and certain episodes and scenes with him were amazing

Season 3... Still probably Toph, but most characters evolved into awesome by that time. Though in the last episode I did find Toph slightly annoying...

In my case, I thrown myself and decided to go forward in time.  ;)

I was talking about the sequel. It's basically like it is leaning towards hooking up those two characters just because they are similar to those of the first series.

*ahem*
HELL YES.

I've been watching Avatar since the first night it aired on Nick. I remember looking forward to the Friday nights. =w= And for me to enjoy that again is just wonderful. (Even if it's a whole entire different plot and a new character.)

Read the wiki and I read on there that the creators said that there's gonna be romance. ;D
Why? You never win the cursed war.
