EDIT: What do you think of Ai's past?

Would you like it more if she was always this emotionally tortured girl who never wanted to be in any of this, or someone who stared out bad until she was older.

I've always wondered why Akemi was allowed to do her own thing while Ai was raised to take over the research. I wonder if they had different parents since they don't look alike which is why they had different fates in the Org?

I think she said something about Akemi's parents being able to make and agreement so Akemi could have as normal a life as possible. With the sudden death of Ai's parents she wasn't as lucky. (I believe this comes from 129 but I may be wrong)

We also don't know about her coming from a different family since I don't think we know what Ai's dad looked like, however him being with someone else before he met Eleen is also possible.

EDIT:
What I was speaking of in the topic though was the fact that Ai was basically raised by the organization to do their work, Akemi was watched by them but said to have joined under her own free will (presumably for Ai). The thing is if she was raised to do bad for the BO it would make more sense for her to have been a bad person, then change into a good person.
