NIGHT 5 ENDS

Late during the night a storm suddenly struck the city of Beika. According to the late night news, this would be the worst storm of the year and people didn’t doubt that at all—it poured harder than the days before, keeping people within their homes. The constant flashes and roars of lightning and thunder coupled with the pounding of rain pushed those few back into the corners of their minds, fearing more than ever for what fate had in store for them when the rain passed—IF, at all, it passed…

In the morning, the rain stopped. There were no ravens, no crying of cicadas—only seagulls noisily making their way back into their territory. In an odd occurrence, the people gathered flocked to the park, as if drawn there today by some odd magical force…

The people gasped as their eyes met the bullet-riddled corpse of Takagi (KainTheVampire), blood pooling around his body.

The blood also began to pool around the feet of Heiji, who stood before the corpse with a gun in his hand and dread sprawled onto his face.

Shinichi (Xcommando) grabbed his fellow meitantei by his shirt and aimed a punch at the dark-skinned man’s face, which sent him crashing into the ground.

Shinichi: You idiot!! Why did… you…

The detective trailed off into silence as he realized what he had just done, and that Heiji had his face slightly… torn?

Heiji?: Why’d I kill ‘im, Kudou? Tha’s simple…

Heiji tore the mask off and threw it to the ground, and Vermouth (Detective Tommy) aimed the gun she’d been holding at Shinichi.

Vermouth: I just had to. Sorry, my darling Silver Bullet.

The roar of gunfire pierced the air, just as its bullet pierced the heart of the Detective of the East. Araide (Sherlock3) rushed to the teen’s body as it hit the ground.

Araide: Hold on, I’ll—

BANG! Araide joined the detective on the ground. Vodka (James Rye) grunted in distaste and withdrew his gun.

Vodka: Huhn… and I thought discombobulating him last night was hard…

The rest scrambled to leave the park. Two more bullets bolted from their chambers, piercing the bodies of Haibara (Holmes) and Ayumi (Laurell). Akemi (Commi-Ninja) grimaced at the action she’d just done; Korn (bluekaitou1412) seemed indifferent.

Vermouth: Well, what’s done is done… a shame though, I suppose. Gin (Akonyl) and Irish (Conia) would’ve enjoyed participating here.

Vodka: Well, we still have that Eisuke kid back in the warehouse, don’t we?

Vermouth: That’s quite right… now shall we head on to jail and let our fellow members out?

Vodka: Sounds like a good idea... *grins* then we can take care of that wimpy kid...

The remaining members of the Organization suddenly turned their attention to the source of the voice—Grawwbear, accompanied by several thousand bears (bare and armed alike), grinned wickedly at them.

Vermouth: What the…?!!

Grawwbear: Let your fellow members out? You’ll have to get through me and the cavalry before you can get to your allies… that is, if they’re alive…

There was the click of firearms from both sides. Not a moment later did the sound of multiple roars cry unto the blue sky.
