Be careful I might actually hold you to that- in about 1 1/2  - 2 years when I finished school and have the money necessary  :-\ - well you said ANY time  :P. But I'm not sure if I could do that to the little one- a 24hours flight is reeeeally long... and the weather is wet and cold... (we even had snow last week :o )
I wonder if we're still going to be frequenting this forum then.  :-\

24 hours is long. You must be nearly on the opposite side of the globe! During the flight, I think the little one will be snug in the pouch, though it might get hit on the head if the big one carelessly lowers the tray table. They'll have trouble in winter; I don't think there are raincoats that will fit, and they'll find it difficult to jump with snow boots on.
Hmmm... I guess I'll probably be around in one form or another as long as the manga continues and DCTP continues working on it...
As for being on the opposite site of the globe-nearly- I live in Germany  :). I'll be careful with these tray tables, but snow boots won't be necessary- we hardly ever get more than a couple of cm (or inches -whatever you prefer  ;)) and it never lasts long. Gum boots might be a good idea though...
PS: I've got the felling we're getting slighly off-topic  ;)... I  might post a few Lateral Thinking tasks some time this (or next) week, but I'll need a friends help, I can't exactly remember how they went...

You're right we did get a bit carried away with the wallaby. Your fault for posting such a cute picture! ;)
Look forward to your Lateral Thinking problems! If you want, you can run them by me for a consistency check, e.g. via message or email.

Nope, your fault- I just posted my answer, you started commenting it  :P. Thanks for your offer though. I'll send you the LT when I finish typing them - not today though. It's late and I have to get up at 6:20am tomorrow :-[...

Holmes wrote: Well, if you are very, very tired of Lateral Thinking and yuo think your brain is coming out, I thought to change a little the logic problems and here I put some riddles.

I wanted to post this on kat1214young's "Riddles Riddles XD" thread, but I noticed that there are already riddles there so....

1) The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

2) I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.
What am I?

3) I am the black child of a white father, a wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven. I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me, even though there is no cause for grief, and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air. What am I?

4) Pronounced as one letter,
And written with three,
Two letters there are,
And two only in me.
I'm double, I'm single,
I'm black, blue, and gray,
I'm read from both ends,
And the same either way.
What am I?

5) I fly, yet I have no wings. I cry, yet I have no eyes. Darkness follows me; lower light I never see.

6) What jumps when it walks and sits when it stands?

I know these have been answered in full. But I was wondering if other  answers might work

3) Water vapor. Why well
3) I am the black child of a white father, ( Storm cloud forming from a white cloud ) a wingless bird ( clouds have no wings nor does water vapro ), flying even to the clouds of heaven ( Water vapor rises to form clouds ). I give birth to tears ( tears are made of water and vapor )of mourning in pupils that meet me, even though there is no cause for grief, and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air (water entering the air to form clouds ). What am I?

You're really good at finding alternate explanations! Thats the nice thing about these riddles, they stimulate your imagination.

Good idea, my only issue with this would be that the riddle said "I give birth to..." - if you are really strict with it it decribes the reason why someone starts crying or where the tears come from, not what the tears are made off. But that really is a minor detail  :)

@ayw: I just emailed you the Lateral thinking stuff  ;D -well the first one turned out to be more of a case than LT...

I know this is a very late post for answering and everything is  already answered but...

Number 1 is definitely a Software  >:(

The man who invented it doesn't want it. (Developers usually develop for the money)

The man who bought it doesn't need it. (The man ordered by the boss to buy it doesn't really need it)

The man who needs it doesn't know it. (The boss doesn't and will never know how to use it)

LOL
Too bad; users @ home buy and use softwares XP

And why is the frog wrong when it does make sense in the riddle?
Frogs don't walk and jump instead, and they seem to sit upright when standing :P

still, it makes sense though

I'm sure you've all heard the riddle about the two men, one who lies and the other who tells the truth, and you have to ask one of them one question to find out which is which. So, here's a variation.

You are presented with two boxes. One is empty, and one is filled with money, you don't know which is which. You may only open one box.

With you are 3 people: One who tells 100% truth, one who tells 100% lies, and one who randomly chooses to lie or tell the truth. They know which box the money is in, and you may ask any two questions to them. You can ask the same person both questions, or ask two different people a question each.

What two questions do you ask to guarantee that you get the money?

Ask anyone:
"Yes or No? Will the random guy say this is the wrong box?"
If your telling a 100% lie/truth you won't be able to answer with a yes or no... thus giving away if that person is the random guy or not.

Ask that guy(if he's not the random guy), or somebody else(if he is the random dude):
"What will the other non-random guy say if I ask which box contains the money?"
(Reverting back to the classic scenario)

If he is honest then he will answer the wrong box... (Since the liar would definitely give the wrong answer)
If he is the liar he will also answer the wrong box... (Since the honest one would answer the right box, his answer would be the wrong box)

Am I right?

I guess I should have added the rule that you can't force someone to answer "I don't know", it has to be a question that they can answer yes/no to.

you asked the right second question, but there's a different way to find the random guy with the first one.

It doesn't; I made a mistake there >_<
Should be like this: frogs seem to be standing when sitting upright
Like the way dogs stand... in four feet, not two :P

Does everyone know who who is? (Senseless question..) Err.. for example, does the random guy know who the truth-teller is? Does the liar know who the random guy is? Etc.
No amount of apologies will express how much I regret it.
