What did the BO boss do? I might have missed something very important in their dialogue.

Vermouth was reminding Gin to be equally cautious by bringing up how the boss behaves. Basically she was hinting that he should take a good look at who he is shooting at and make sure it isn't someone else. As it turns out, Scar Akai was (probably) someone else which Gin silently admitted to by removing his gun from Kir's head. If Gin actually thought it was the real Akai, it wouldn't make sense to for Gin to remove his gun from a traitor's head, even if shooting her in a public place in his car was something he didn't want to do at the moment.

Going to pop in and just say this

I have finally watched this episode, and that whole thing at the end w/ Akai smiling, and then calling off the shot  - I thought of Bourbon right there.  I think Okiya is the real Akai, who happened to see himself on TV during the bank heist.

From what I can remember, Okiya's main goal is to find the traitor Shiho Miyano, back in the fishing rock case, he literally picked her up and the resemblance should be evidence that Ai = Sherry.  Instead, Okiya hasn't taken a lot of initiative (then again this is DC where shit happens every 2 years) and he's more focused on Akai (Then again, this could just be because "Bourbon hates Akai" so much that he would jeopardize his main mission).

Chianti needs to play some MW2 or some shit and work on her sniping position..she sucks so much.

Kir looked like a freak w/ lipstick, um..Kogoro was awesome until I realized he didn't think of the deduction..

For the manga readers out there, has this arc been finished yet?  If so, wouldn't the theories for us anime watchers be kind of pointless because, you guys know more info than us

I'm also going to pop in and say something. What the heck did Korn think he was going to do in the underground exit of the dept store with a rifle? There's no way in hades he could have hit someone with a rifle shot in that kind of crowded enclosed space, without a) having someone tackle him while trying to line up the shot through a mass of people, and b) managing to escape with cops everywhere. What was Korn planning to do? Stabbing scar Akai or shooting him close range with a small pistol are the most logical choices but Korn must still escape from the cops and any pedestrians that are feeling heroic. All I can think of Korn doing is tailing scar Akai until he gets to a better location, but if the target has a good nose, it shouldn't work. I suppose scar Akai would notice soon enough and would tell Korn to stop following him...

There was probably no outside to wait at though. I assume by underground exit it meant an exit to a shinkansen station which runs underground. Basically if you left through the underground store exit, you could go straight to the subway station without ever going above ground. Abs. would probably know what I am talking about and could correct me if I'm wrong.
The other thing is Gin's line "It will be a simple hunting game/He will be an easy target for Chianti who is above and Korn who is below" (67.7 703 pg 2). It implies that Korn will actually do some shooting by putting Chianti, who is set up and ready to shoot, and Korn in the same breath.

Maybe Korn wasn't planning to shot him with the rifle? Maybe he just took his entire armoury with him just in case and was planning to shot him with a pistol or something?
