Can you? He made he seem like he had super duper reactions.
I'm lost, since I'm new, do you think that Okiya is Yusaku?

Re: Bourbon's Identity: Who is Bourbon!?
Aahh, this topic is getting so interesting and fun!
To add my own tiny little opinion, I actually think that it's very probable that Okiya could be Yuusaku.
The thing with the Ran kicking Okiya, though, I think there was some translation mistake at the part after Ran had kicked Okiya and Ran was thinking. The one that DCTP had released had Ran thinking that "He didn't resist at all.", which make it look like Okiya had received the blow full on. But, in the official Chinese edition we have here in Taiwan, Ran was thinking "It didn't feel like the kick hit him.", which gives a totally different understanding that Ran hadn't actually been able to plant the kick on Okiya, it was like he blocked it or something.
Either it was a translation error on DCTP's part, or the translators here in Taiwan didn't do a very good job. O.O

Ran thinks, "Ima... tegotae nakatta... nani? Kono hito..." Mina (a fluent Japanese speaker who posts on the DCTP boards and chatboxes occasionally) interpreted it the same way as the Chinese edition. "Tegotae" appears to fit either interpretation.ruthc93 wrote: Aahh, this topic is getting so interesting and fun!

It looked like Okiya dodged Ran's kick completely in the anime, despite how he acts after the kick. I guess the key is interpreting the sound and visual effects that were shown with the kick. To me, it looks pretty dramatic to be a "whiff", but I don't know. I'd trust Mina, but she left before explaining herself. Heh, I wonder if DCTP's translation here is mostly my fault for debating Mina in the chatbox...

'It didn't feel like the kick hit him' doesnt make much sense anyways, lol you either kicked him or you didn't, not it 'felt' like you didnt kick him >.>

Well, Ran has a very powerful kick if she says it didn't feel like it hit him, it probably means that he was able to somehow avoid the full power of the kick

If you are referring to me, it's yes & no. You can get a better understanding on what's going on by looking at the last 3 or so pages of this thread. I started it as a fun theory in this topic and I have been defending it for additional fun since at the momoment, no one has yet to offer definitive evidence as to why Okiya can't be Yusaku. But by that same token, I can't offer definitive evidence that Yusaku is Okiya, so it's a little fun theory that people can speculate and voice their standing on until Yusaku finally shows up next to Okiya or Okiya reveals who he is.H...Haibara wrote: Can you? Perhaps, but two things.
They alphabet organisations aren't exactly 'searching' for Bourbon.
Plus was this really worth another topic?

I have evidence, it'll suck!
Not very definitive.
By the way, did I miss something? When did Ran kick Okiya?

When she met him for the first time and he was in Shinichi's house brushing his teeth and Ran thought he was a burglar because Shinichi hadn't told her that there was someone living in the house

Kinda moody aren't we?Conan324 wrote: please do not spam my thread.
The other two members were right, you already posted this theory in a thread that is a compilation of everyone's theory of Okiya/Bourbon
here, so no need to create a separate thread for the same thing. Also, sstimson already posted this theory before you on page 5 of the same thread.

Re: Bourbon's Identity: Who is Bourbon!?
Definitely a possible theory. But I don't think we have enough information on Bourbon thus far, so anything right now is possible. He could be a man-eating plant from Jupiter for all we know.

That was episode 501, before Kir shot Akai in the head. I think Kir's pretty safe after shooting Akai (unless Gin saw through a trick or something).Ocelot wrote:Episode 501:kirhidemi wrote: hmm.. maybe its true.. and i dont think that kir will fall into that kind of bait. by the way.. does the B.O has a clue that kir is the spy?? just like what happen to clash of red and black does the b.O still suspected kir inspite that he kill shu in front of Gin's eyes.. hehe..
Well, maybe he still suspects her.

I like to say you stole my idea as I believe I mentioned this idea somewhere else. My idea is they do not trust Kir and so are using her to pass false info. A kind of misinformation Thing. That way the BO can kind of trace it and learn more about possible spies in their ranks. If they find out the FBI acting on the info then they can know for sure they got a spy.
