The "fake" Akai wandering around may be a ensurance to the BO that he is really dead and not just tricked them. So maybe they want to let the FBI confirm whether he could be really alive, or not. On the other hand, this would be sort of funny adding the faking-the-amnesia-stuff, Vermouth infilirates the FBI. But that would be a bit stupid, I'm almost positive that the BO won't let Vermouth roam around as much, as freely as she used to.

I like the idea of the bank-robbery, even if there are the DB. I begin to dislike Genta again. XD;;

Hm... are the robbers preparing to use the same trick as the bus-hijackers wanted? Blowing up everybody and escape as victims?

suppose to let the reader believe that Jodie and Akai were in a relationship? If so, I think it's a poor move since now it feels like everyone that can be paired, must be paired with someone.

I always assumed that she called him "Shuu", because 1) they were good friends 2) Jodie IS NOT Japanese and she probably didn't meet Akai in Japan, so the whole "this is very personal thing" didn't count, you usually call your friends by their name or nickname OUTSIDE Japan (sure, probably not everywhere, but you know what I mean) 3) it suited Jodie's personality.

The whole Akai/Jodie thing doesn't click with me. While there were moments when I wondered if I just saw a Jodie -> Akai hint, the whole thing is just too random. I prefered them as BFF and Super Special Awesome FBI Partners Taking BO Together (With Help From A 8-Years-Old). Still, the whole thing is... interesting. I hope Gosho will play it out good.

Poor Jodie through. I feel even more sorry for her than I did.

There are some lines I don't quite understand, however, is anyone willing to explain? They are the following:

Akai Shuichi: Yea, that's why we ended it..."
"... even if WE don't part..."
"To be able to love TWO women at the same time... It's not that handy a pesonality..."
---> Whom did Akai refer to as "we" ?
In that flashback scene, I suppose Akai rejected Jodie in order to build a relationship with Akemi ?
But "We ended it" - if Akai was referring to himself and Jodie - it means he had loved Jodie at some point in the past, too.
And at that point, had Akai ever harbored TRUE feelings for Akemi ?
I mean, if Akai just wanted to fake a relationship with Akemi, he didn't need to break up with Jodie, right?

the better plot in an anime is usually the one which doesnt hav a happy ending, ive seen this like important character dies but shows up agen many times and over 80% of the time it was a fake.

i hav a feelin this 'akai' we see is gonna end up being Bourbon.

The Akai and Jodie being in a relationship just doesn't feel right to me. Gosho is heading down the path of "perfect anime world" where opposite sex individuals that have good chemistry must be in a relationship or start one. It also now brings the "Ran" factor into the Akai situation were Jodie will go through the phases thinking of Akai(aka missing him..Sonoko/Ran) and if he proves to be alive we will now be getting love shoved down our throats. Kazuha/Heiji-Satou/Takagi-Ran/Shinichi-Sonoko/Makoto...seriously with this new pairing the only break we'll get from the love couples will be in "The Detective boys" cases.

And please don't let the "love sensor" make a return if indeed this Akai admits to being Akai. It overstayed it's welcome in The Return

and actually, I never felt anything more than a brother-sister relationship between those two. I accepted Jodie's "Shuu" because she's American. Seriously, if Jodie and Akai make a pair, then with whom will Camel and James end? Oh wait, maybe the boss of the BO is an elderly woman and James is in love with her, that's why he's chasing after the BO of course! Then his name makes sense too. And Camel will end up with ... with ... ah, Shiho doesn't have anybody yet, does she? Let's make them a pair too! XP Is there still someobody I missed? Gin has Vermouth, Wodka can go for that secretary in the case where Akai died (granted she's the BO agent who got stuck there), Bourbon ... erh ... he ... or she ... oh, he/she has a double personality and the male side of it is in love with the female side of it and vice versa, making him a narcissist! Agasa still has that woman from when he was young, thingy from the police, you know the rival of Takagi, can go for Yumi ... and I guess that's it? The others aren't that important, aside from the obvious pairings à la Chianti x Korn etc.

well, i hope i can...

the WE refers to Akemi... this is for sure, i think...
at first, he liked jodie, then he had to infiltrate the organization and a few days later, he really loved her and his feelings for jodie weren't so strong than his feelings for akemi...

so, he liked jodie, but loved akemi... and that's why he ended up the relationship between akemi and him because he didn't want her to die only because of him infiltrating the organization...
