I just came across that Sherlock Holmes is finally coming to the big screen! Empire magazine released this month's issue on next year's must see films, which Sherlock Holmes is one of them. Robert Downy Jr. (the one who played as Tony Stark in IronMan) will be playing the role of Sherlock Homes, with Jude Law taking on Sherlock's right hand man, Dr. John Watson. The film is scheduled to be released on November 20, 2009.

I didn't see him in the cast list, so he probably won't be in this first film. But I bet ya anything that they'll make a franchise for this new Sherlock Holmes.
